AMAZING! We used Loafers for our wedding cake. The cake came out just as we hoped. It was so beautiful. Not only was it beautiful but absolutely delicious. People were raving all night about how good it was! (They are still raving 2 weeks later!)

Delicious baked goods galore! Just finished eating egg and cheese on a croissant that was yummy! Also, my family and I have eaten the Explosion Bar Bites, blueberry scones, ham and cheese croissant, leak and parmesan croissant, and carrot cake cupcakes and they've all been winners!Worth the drive from the south shore of Long Island. You won't leave hungry or disappointed. If you're doing the Nassau County Library Tour, Loafers is right near the Locust Valley Library so don't miss it!

Finally found a bakery that uses butter and makes incredible homemade cakes! Mom wanted a "Mounds inspired" cake-- chocolate on the inside with coconut cream cheese frosting. Loafers delivered! Everyone was talking about how delicious the cake was-- some thought that it was homemade. We've been disappointed by other old school bakeries who use shortening for the frosting which has a totally different flavor. Loafers did an excellent job and was more than reasonably priced. Our new go-to spot for birthdays and special events.

Whomever thinks this is a good bakery has never been in a great one like there used to be in Roslyn Heights or Mineola. They make a lot of items, but lack sophistication and are basically just too much sugar and dough.

I'v Lived up the street from then every 3 days they freshly bake there food and serve it fresh. Loved the food and go there once in a while but see people go in every day with smiles on there faces. With local employees and nice ones they are one of the best bakeries in all of Nassau county.

this place never looked appealing b/c of the astoundingly unattractive and dated signage (dated as in just old, not vintage).- you have to really look to find that type of font. but i was desperate for a non grocery store pie for thanksgiving- so i went in. i could tell that the people running this place work hard and mean well - but they could really benefit from a consultation w/ a designer or marketing specialist. first - the plastic cling wrap they use really cheapens the look of all their products - also seems vaguely unclean. this is not a middle school bake sale- it's a business.. second- they have baskets of savory (eg. chicken drumsticks!!! really!) right next to cling wrapped loaves of banana bread. third - the whole place is a overwhelmingly cluttered. fourth- very few of the items have price tags so you have to ask for each item. having said that, the baked goods are pretty good- the pecan cookies are especially delicious. banana bread is great too. cornbread is nice if you like it sweet. my advice- your products all taste better than average. get the stiffer cellophane plastic to wrap the items, design some cute stickers w/ the name & contact info (or ribbon) and clear the place out a bit. keep the savory and sweet separate and apart. if you have to keep that name- LOAFERS, for gods sake, consider a different font. (visit Heritage Bakers in GlenCove - they've done a great job w/ signage and presentation).

Yeah it's OK. It's not great, it's just OK. It doesn't emit that delicious bakery smell that I'm so use to. They have baked goods, sandwiches, soups, CHEESE and other yummy looking things but then they have dish towels and other knickknacks for sale and if you read my reviews I HATE that. Another review had mentioned that the local supermarket bakery taste better than this and I'm going to have to agree. Again, not a bad review just a mehhh review. If I was having guests over no I would not buy anything from here, drive a little bit longer and go to Saint Rocco's.

Very neat and accessible place. They serve generous portions and for fair prices. I loved the food very much and the waiters were super welcoming and explanatory. Recommended.
