I have been going to this restaurant for 50 years. I've seen it go up I seem to go down I see they go to a couple remodeling. The food was always good however, the past year I'm seeing the food start to go downhill. I've been there a couple of times and ordered the French dip or just a plain roast beef sandwich only to be extremely disappointed That the roast beef was tough I could not sure I want to leave in half the sandwich this past weekend. I went there and ordered a hamburger and french fries. The hamburger was like eating shoe leather. The bun was stale. It really is a shame to see what's going on with this restaurant. I hope the owner sees this post and takes notice .

One more thing that I do not like is those disgusting rags they use to clean the tables with! OMG it is so gross! They also wipe down the seats too. I gag every time I see them to that. At least use paper towels, yes it costs more, but my God, its so much healthier and cleaner to do that.

Stopped by for lunch today, sorry I did. I had the worst pastrami sandwich I ever got. It was very grizzley and tough.

We were in Long Beach, NY for a family function and this is one of our go to place for breakfast when in this area. Upon entering on a Sunday morning, there was a line, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. This is your classic New York diner, and the food is as expected. The food is very down home, our omelets were cooked a little more than we prefer, but the food was good, loved the bagels and service was very good. This place brings back nostalgia and we plan on going back the next time we're in NY.

Laurel Diner: we have ordered from them at least 150 times, on a recent order of "Fresh Turkey" club sandwiches they used turkey roll. I called and spoke to the manager, George, who pretty much told me to screw off. Pretty amazing. what a dick. Joseph Wolpin(the owner posted some b.s. reply that it was real roasted turkey - NOT !!! )

Hands down the best diner in Long Beach. Plenty of seating but I'd still avoid this highly populated spot on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Great diner food. It is a bit pricey for diner food but the quality is there.

We ended up at the Laurel Diner for a very quick breakfast bite after watching the sunrise on the Long Beach boardwalk. We walked in and got seated immediately, though it was (an albeit) early Sunday morning (just about 8am).I had the Nutella French which was HUGE, but very delicious. Not sure what bread they use for this particular French toast, but I think it was challah bread. I couldn't finish the whole thing, and the Nutella (of course) just hit the spot with its delicious hazelnutty decadence. Hubby had some perfectly crispy Belgian waffles. The coffee was great too. Good and quick service. The only expected and dreadful downfall of any dining these days is really the price for me - an almost $50 bill (with tax and tip included) for 2 breakfasts and coffee is outrageous. But worth it overall and would return, for sure!!

It's my go-to diner in Long Beach. Been many times enough that they pretty much know me in this place. For the review, if you want classic diner food that's unpretentious and gives you that neighborhood feel than this is the place to be. Burgers are high quality that use Pat LeFrieda Prime Beef. The basic lunch and breakfast items are all solid. Paninis are good as well. Overall 4.5/5 stars

First impression are key to a successful business. We walked in and was greeted by a blonde woman on her phone. Motioned us a look to follow her. Basically threw the menus on the table and walked away again on her phone. Management do better! Sorry to say we will not return. Shame it's a very cute establishment.

Everyone who works here are so accommodating. The food is always amazing and recommend it to everyone. Stop by if you're in the area!
