“We had a lovely room. Unfortunately the ocean view was obstructed by scaffolding. But, the service was impeccable. Sharon assisted us by keeping our bags after check out time so we could experience another day walking the lovely boardwalk. Morning with a coffee pot on the table was greatly appreciatedWalkability: We were pleasantly surprised this hotel was on the beach with a lovely boardwalk.Food & drinks: The mezzanine bar/lounge served a delicious meal. I had the meatballs and my husband had a very flavorful ribeye. Christian was an excellent bartender/server.”

“I read the reviews ahead. I suppose if you're looking for the bad you will see the bad. We had THE BEST TIME. My 12 year old son and I stayed for a night. Check in was easy, room was great, food was great, building was amazing. We hung out in the pool for hours. The kids were all there chatting about what's there, what's landing, what's coming later. We ate in the Paris cafe for dinner. Service was slow but we enjoyed the pizza very much. I had more fun as a parent than expected. I would def go back. Our room looked out over the runway, it was super clean, bed was comfy, zero complaints. The bar in the room has exceptional crystal glassware. No mini bar in the fridge so pack ahead. Fancy wine glasses, bring your own bottle. I got one cocktail at the pool and they don't hold back on the liquor. Pay an extra $4 for a pretty plastic TWA cup to keep.”

“The reviews were spot on. The people were so nice and my room was comfortable and spotless. The place is outdated but that’s built into the price. I’ll stay there again in a heart beat!”

“An excellent airport hotel for a one night stay. The room was comfy, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was very good (a typical Hampton Inn spread!)The area appears safe and quiet, although there isn't much in the way of restaurants or bars nearbyBe sure to plan for the free hotel shuttle pickup and drop off. The shuttle bus picks up from the Federal Circle Airtrain station, and was on time (every 30 mins) when I arrived at 8:20pm. The journey to the hotel took 10 mins. However, the return journey in the morning visits all terminals, which is convenient in theory, but it took 40 mins due to traffic.”

“Upon checking in, I was kindly greeted by Fabian and Siara. I wasn’t expecting to stay in New York, but my flight got delayed. Their warm welcome and assistance to all my questions was very helpful. My room was super clean. After a mini hectic airport experience having this hotel encounter was just what I needed. Super grateful for their service! 5-star all the way! Also, ask Siara for reliable local car/transportation services - she knows a reputable driver - great pricing.”

“I booked with JBS a few weeks ago and my booking was confirmed through a booking site. On the day of my arrival, I received a text message that my reservation was cancelled due to a plumbing issue. I called the establishment and left a Vmsg on whether I can cancel my payment for I could rebook another date. Within 2 minutes, the property manager returned my call to alert me that there was an plumbing issue before I booked with JBS and that my refund was totally taken care of. I live in the same neighborhood as JBS an wanted a nice quaint little house setting for some family members by the beach, for I didn’t have enough room in my bungalow to host them. The property manager, who name I can’t remember, was totally professional with the situation and offered my a special deal, if I decide to book JBS in the future. I definitely wish to book that spot for a little staycation!”

“This was close to the airport. Waited over an hour for the shuttle (aka, SUV) then he was rude, and drove so fast, with music so loud. We almost hit another car. The desk gal was nice. There was glass on our room floor, just small shards sparkling with my flashlight, after 4 pokes, I had to put back on my shoes. Noisy 1st floor. Ck out was easy. The driver in the AM was nice,”

“I would give it 5 stars because everything went nice and smoothly. However, the rooms are SO SMALL! We got the king size bed and the pictures looked more spacious but it was so tiny! Also, anytime anyone opened or shut the door the whole room shifted a bit! But, altogether it wasn't a bad stay!”

“After Delta cancelled our flight from La Guardia we had to rebook flights for the next day, the only flights available being from JFK. So we had to find somewhere to stay overnight close by. The Rodeway Inn came up in our search so we booked them. By the time we got out the airport it was going to be after 9 before getting to the Inn, however after phoning and explaining our situation they said it was no problem to sign in later. The rooms were a good size for an overnight stay, they were clean with en suite, there is a lift to the upper levels. The surrounding neighbourhood is clean and tidy, the streets are a bit dark at night. There is a 7 eleven round the block with a Burger King across the road. The prices were good for an overnight stay and an Uber only costs $20 to go to JFK which was less than 20mins away depending on traffic. Great place for a short stay if you are stuck. The staff were polite and really helpful.”

“The hotel was very nice and comfortable. It's actually prettu luxurious looking. My only complaint is the area seemed a bit sketchy, but I got a parking spot right in front and really enjoyed my stay there. I missed my flight so had to rebook for the next day. This was a great option to stay for the layover. It wasn't too far from the airport and IHOP was close that I could go for breakfast when I was done.”

“The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The inn is located in a quiet area but is at the marina so there is some occasional noise (pressure washing of boats, etc) but it was not bothersome. We stayed in the back part of the inn. The steps up to the first landing are a little taller than the average step but there is also a ramp you can use The inn appears to be undergoing some renovations. The room itself was nicely done. It was clean and had a pleasant smell. The bed was slightly higher than what you normally see in a hotel and if you're short like me you do have to lift your knee up a little to get into it but was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was not your typical hotel shower. It had a wide base at the top with a lot of holes that the water comes out of and also down the front so water comes out along the side. Water pressure was good. There was also a hand held shower to use if you wish. There was no bathtub or shelves in the shower so we had to put our toiletries on the floor and bend over to use. There was a bar on the inside of the door, however, so you could put them in something that can be hung from the bar. The inn provided adequate shampoo and soaps. The room included an iron, standard sized ironing board, blow dryer, television, and nice fridge/freezer combo, but no coffee machine. The television had over 30 channels which was fine for us as we don't watch much. There was a vending machine and ice machine as well but we did not use so I didn't look at the offerings in the vending machine. I did not see laundry facilities but there is a laundromat very close by. The inn is located conveniently to many stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay here on future visits.”

“Not the best in town but its quiet and from my experience, clean. Also got smoke rooms, an extra point for me. Always stay there when I'm in town for a day or two.”

“I only stayed a few hours because I landed too early to check into my Airbnb and needed a shower and nap. None of the issues I read about were a thing in my room. It was clean, smelled good, and was quiet. The front desk people were quick and friendly. Would I stay longer term? No. It lacked ammenities that "nicer" places have like drinking water and it was a touch rundown. Would I come if I had a layover and minimal funds? Sure.”
