FANTASTIC HOTEL. The pricing, location and services are amazing. I booked through Expedia after researching hundreds of hotels to stay at in NYC. One of the best features this hotel has is the rooftop terrace that over looks Manhattan with the Queens Bridge, BEAUTIFUL views!!! The hotel staff was also very nice and accommodating. Would stay again 10/10

When I arrived, the front desk said they were restarting their system so had to wait for about 10 minutes to check in. The room was nice but a bit small. Location is convenient, there are a lot of food places to eat at nearby(food trucks, Chinese food, Mexican food, Japanese food, bars, etc).Walkability: Very walkable place! There are a lot of food places to eat at nearby: food trucks, Chinese food, Mexican food, Japanese food, bars, etc.

Canceled the reservation a day before, but the hotel refused to refund us after 3 months of back-and-forth! Hotel initially AGREED to issue full refund. After 3 months of "communication" and waiting, still have NOT resolved. Can't believe the staff are actually trained to work. We talked (both over the phone and in person) to the hotel managers more than 10 times and they just don't seem to have any ability to solve this problem. Asked us to wait a few days every time when we reached out. But never resolved. NO efficiency at all. Didn't provide any form of documentation of the problem during the whole process. Every time when we reached out again, we had to explain the whole issue over and over again and talked to different staff and tried to help them to be on the same page. The last time we spoke to Kimberly, the manager, about this matter was on December 5, 2023, when she stated that the refund had been issued from her end. But once again, we had not received anything from the hotel. It has now been over 3 months since the original reservation and we still have not received the refund. This is unacceptable, especially as we already spoke to Kimberly (one month ago), who confirmed this would be done. 2 days ago, we once again, reached out to the hotel about this issue. Kimberly, the manager, responded that they couldn't issue the refund, and she lied obviously! So we didn't stay a single night, they charged us $750!

Ok, I do stay in tons of Marriott properties, and Aloft is the brand that is mostly adequate for my taste. I stayed at this property several years ago, and decided to stay there again for few nights, as all my go to hotels in Midtown Manhattan had unreasonably high rates. The rate was reasonable, the service was friendly, if a bit too casual, but I won't stay there again. One of my main criteria is a quality of sleep, and it was downright horrible. First of all, there is huge construction site on all sides of hotel, and they start early and often (like 6-7 am), and very loud. The street is so noisy at night, and there are tons of emergency vehicles, sirens, honking, and isolation is too poor in the room. Add to it an ancient and loud heating system. So, in a nutshell, if you can sleep through all this, by all means it is ok hotel to stay, but not for me.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location is incredible, within very, very close walking distance to a couple of subway stops (Queens Plaza entrance is less than a block away and Queensboro Plaza is a short walk.) My only complaint about the location is the construction right across the street from our room, which is just a temporary problem. The rooftop view is really a nice selling point, and would have been even nicer if it was above freezing. We didn't spend much time there, but it's such a cool space. It's the only part of the hotel that really has a great "Manhattan view" - so if you're expecting a cool view from your room, temper your expectations on that one.Staff here was super friendly and very cool with working with us when our credit card was frozen upon arrival. They accommodated us and tried to help as much as they could, helping to make a stressful situation a little easier on us.It's NYC, so rooms were very small compared to what I'd in a smaller city - but that wasn't shocking to me. Still good to know if you've never been here.Overall - we had an excellent time here.

Great location, nice hotel, but like most hotels in NYC the rooms are a bit cramped.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a marriott hotelSoap dispensers not filledDirty towels not picked up daily when left on floorTrash not emptied dailySmoke alarm constantly going off ( final day) and an engineer was never sent after multiple callsEven bar tried charging for drinks we didn’t haveWhen I asked for a manager to call it was ignored until I called themWhen we did connect it was clear I was a nuisance and offered me 5k points for the hell stayDo yourself a favor and pick another hotel

Cute hotel. There was a party at the bar and courtyard until about 2am with live music, and it was extremely loud. The walls are also thin so we could hear the conversation in the next room very clearly. A fun place, but it's definitely not for a family to get to sleep early on a Saturday.

Check out the 18th floor rooftop for great photo ops. The WXYZ bar was my favorite spot. Fellas, y'all will see why... ?Nearby activities: With two different subway stations within a block of the hotel, I was able to reach all of my destinations with minimal effort. Google Maps will be your best friend for getting around the city.Walkability: Same as nearby activities.... The subway made everything a short walk away. I never had to walk more than 3 blocks to any of my stops.Food & drinks: Drinks at the bar inside the hotel were great. The young ladies that manage the bar were fun to hangout with. Good restaurants are all around the hotel.

This is the worst place ever I stayed. Unprofessional front desk employees. Too much noise everywhere. Called them several times for room service but nothing came. Don’t waste your money in this Hotal. NY city is big you can easily find better places.

VERY NOISY!Hotel had a Halloween party with live music. We were not told about this when booking and didn't think it would be an issue because it started at 7pm. Live music in the courtyard until 1am we could clearly hear every word in our room and even hallways. When we tried to complain to the front desk no one answered the phone so we went downstairs and they told us some guests enjoy the party and they didn’t know when it would end. No help. Don’t stay here. Staff doesn’t care, small kinda dingy rooms, and ridiculously loud. Besides the music you can hear every neighbor’s door slam open closed.

New, clean and convenient location for LIC. Small rooms but everything you could need for a short stay…or long. Bar in the lobby and new restaurants nearby.

I LOVE this hotel!!! We always stay here when we come to the city. That staff are so fun and the location is great for us to enjoy Brooklyn and go to manhattan! It is in a good neighborhood with a lot of food options and the parking is very close! We got a great view with our room last time too!We will be back in a couple weeks for Halloween and are brining our doggies since they are pet friendly! Added bonus!!!

So why the 1 star? In short disgusting conduct by the housekeeping staff. Despite generous tips, on my last day a towel that had been used as a bathmat was simply picked up off the floor, folded, and put back on the rack. It was still wet and matted when I go back to my room that day. Add to that the hair on the vanity on check in. This is disgusting and unacceptable. Had not for this I would have gien this place 4.5 stars. But this is way way beyond acceptable and has me rethinking tiping housekeeping or using them moving forward.

Always a pleasure to stay at this Aloft! This weekend they had live entertainment which was great! Even after the rain, it didn't stop the party! We enjoyed the night and the rooms are perfect ending to our night. Beds are so comfy and shampoo, conditioner, and soaps are amazing too! I never have to worry about bringing my own as I can always rely on their high class items included with our room. Also, this location has so many restaurants, shops, and cafes and they are all a walking distance.
