Storage is a bit of a crapshoot anywhere you go in NYC and somehow I've managed to luck out with City Closet Storage being a relatively decent option. Their storage service was fairly convenient for how often I was in LIC and the facilities were solid, with prices ranging from $90 a month for a 5x4 to something more premium like $400-500 for a 10x22. When it comes to these things, it boils down to price, quality of space, and availability. The latter is where City Closet thrived. The other thing I really liked was that they allowed for parking / loading to be directly in the building. Newer and larger places such as CubeSmart (#1) will usually have a parking lot but CCS has a storage ramp where things can be loaded directly without bringing it to the street. The storage room conditions are solid and they do the job as long as air conditioning / temperature control isn't required for the stored items. I am not a huge fan of the service. There is someone in the office at all times, but they're just not that helpful. i've called ahead of time and have been met with quippy, short answers and find their website to be cumbersome (#2) and not particularly user-friendly. They will have special deals during every season, which is pretty typical of most places. Ultimately, it is a no frills storage and expectations should be kept at a minimum. It's a space to rent - nothing more, nothing less. _____________ (#1) (#2) Google Chrome doesn't like it either.

It was OK, decent prices, etc. A little dirty though.
