Hunter's Point Wines is my favorite wine shop in NYC. They have a very large selection of quality wines from all over the world at great prices. The staff is kind & knowledgeable, they are readily available to assist with any questions and they have recommended delicious wines based on my preferences on multiple occasions. They are also pet friendly which is a major plus! They deliver within LIC and I love that they have spirit and wine tastings throughout the month. They are definitely my go-to shop for wine, I highly recommend them!

Don’t walk in here after you’ve patronized the neighborhood. They won’t sell you alcohol. Lame selection. Lame staff. Read the room

Very happy to have found this spot! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Wide selection of high-quality wines to choose from. Wine tastings Thursday and Friday are a great way to try out new kinds of wines

This place feels like walking into an old Italian or French Cellar decked out with delicious hand-selected wines. Can’t ask for a better experience. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Easily my favorite spot to buy wine/spirits in NYC.

Great little wine shop. My dog pulls me in every time we walk past (because they give him yummy treats). Great selection and very friendly staff.

How lucky I am that this is my local wine store! Very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff! Great selection. Good Prices. Honestly, my favorite wine store I've ever been to in NYC. Luckily for me, it's also around the corner from my apartment!

Easily the best spirits shop in Long Island City and frankly the only one you need to know (I've shopped at all of them). What sets HPWS apart is their careful attention to customer need and the personalized experience that maintains continuity across visits. I've often found myself shopping for an occasion and the team here knows the questions in a shopper's consideration set (taste, occasion i.e. friend's birthday/colleague's birthday, relationship to the individual if it's a gift, how the beverage will be consumed, price point - everything that matters for buying something). You will leave the store with not only a great deal financially but also with a sense of context of what you bringing home with you / gifting which embodies the whole idea of each distillery/winery sharing it's heritage & brand.Marko, Tony and Dakim run a 'tight ship' bringing in old-world favorites but also experimental beverages such as aged whiskies from India (which is actually a thing). Their end-of-week wine tastings are free and always a treat to look forward to - along with their customer service this shop is something every reader of this review should experience in person.Another point noting, this business supports other local businesses and is often found collaborating / promoting local CSAs and other neighbourhood small-business partnerships - this is a big deal that one would only know upon coming into their store. Moreover, it is evident that the team here wants to make sure folks leave feeling happy, something that is becoming increasingly rare across all businesses.

The service here is so so excellent! They spent 10 minutes picking out wines with me at my price point and explaining the regions they were from. Can’t wait to go back

Can't believe -- in the 7yrs I've been living in the neighbourhood -- I just discovered hunters point wine & spirits. It looks so tiny from outside, but once you step in.. it's like stepping into Strands but for wine.Private tasting notes accompany a well organized (by region and by price), which made things so easy to navigate. We spent minutes just reading through the notes and being immersed in the space. Prices were right (and some bottles were even better priced than other places around the neighborhood)And what a kind soul Tony is at the desk, offering to help and give any advice. Looking forward to things reopening fully so we can come here often to partake in tasting events!

My first experience coming here was fantastic! The representative who helped me out was very knowledgeable in wine and liquor and the friendliness makes me want to come back again. I ended up buying me a smooth bottle of tequila which was so amazing in taste! I recommend coming in here for cheap premium liquor

Very very good wine shop! Anything you want, they've got. At great prices too! If you get a white, sparking, or orange wine, chances are they'll have it available chilled as well. Perfect for bringing to the park or to a party. It may look small when you walk in, but there's a whole other room in the back with shelves of wine. I ended up with an Austrian Grüner and a pet-nat orange. Both were fan favorites! Staff is super cool. They also have a respectable liquor selection behind the bar.

Incredible neighborhood wine and liquor store. They have something excellent at every price point and many fabulous bottles that would be hard to find elsewhere. The staff is friendly and well versed in their products. Love their tastings, too! Pay them a visit, you won't regret it, and if you have a pooch bring him along - they love their four legged friends (and have doggy treats behind the counter!)
