Lovely neighborhood market in Astoria. The produce covered all the usual fruits and vegetables, seemed fresh, and was a good price. I've personally been hunting for certain whole spices in NYC for a couple weeks, and I finally got cardamom pods, all spice, and star anise! It was a good price compared to other specialty groceries I've visited in Manhattan. I also got some cool goodies like pomegranate molasses. There is a huge selection of olive oil, olives, and a halal butcher in the back. The grocery store was clean inside and smelled deliciously of salted olives and other spices. The line moved a bit slowly, but the staff were friendly and helpful if you ask them to help you check prices (which aren't always posted clearly or labeled)

I stopped by this market this past Saturday to browse around. I love exploring international markets. They had a nice selection of spices, teas, dairy products, and other Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern items. The staff were nice and helpful. The ambiance was nice as well. I felt like I stepped inside a market in another country. They had a good deal on peaches ($1.99/lb) so I bought a few and they were good. I wouldn't mind shopping here again next time I'm in the area.

The prices are good but the chicken is always close to being rotten. Also, does not taste like fresh butcher meat; almost as if they purchased from supermarket to resell

I live in Paterson, NJ. And every time I'm anywhere in the neighborhood of Astoria, or passing through which isn't often I make it a point to bring home a few items from Queens Meat Market. They are the best. Check them out I promise you won't be disappointed.

0 stars if I could for this absolute DUMP! Ordered filet mignon and was sold 7lbs of bad meat. Brought back cooked and uncooked pieces to prove how bad it was and they offered no refund or store credit. This place is an absolute s*** hole!! Do not buy your meat here, ever!! Worst service and terrible meat. Please buy your meat from anywhere else.

We were here today and purchased 4 cases of chicken and Beef Souvlaki, everyone was very helpful and polite. Each case were $26 for 25 souvlaki. Everything is made fresh and marinated on the premises. Also got the Taziki sauce to go with it.

I went by all the great reviews and went to buy steaks. The people who work there are kind, but I was sold rancid and old steak. When I got home and opened the package, the steak smelled so foul that I gagged. There were bruise marks and also white foamy pieces throughout the steak. I realized I didn't look at the steak before it was packed for me because I trusted that they'd be selling me fresh meat. I called the shop immediately and they told me to come in. I had to drive back to the shop. When I arrived, another butcher helped me out, he opened the brown paper and immediately apologized, he was shocked at how old it was. He immediately offered me either a refund or other cuts of steak. I took the other cuts of steak and he gave me extra for free. Before he packaged it up, I asked to see and smell them, they looked fine. I'm not sure if this is a common practice or if this was a one time ordeal. I do appreciate that they were nice and able to immediately rectify the situation without any issues. Please be mindful and check all the meat that you purchase.

Drove from the Bronx after a friend put us on to the chicken kabobs. I know what you're thinking "a kobob is a kobob". No sir! Reasons why below - Perfect cut of chicken (chicken thigh) Cost effective at a dollar a piece! 5-6 pieces of chicken per kabob Not to mention the cleanliness and friendly butcher owner/workers. Look no further! Side note: they also have smaller packs of pork and beef kabobs to try out.
