Really disappointed in RCN. I was told via chat in September 2023 that my monthly charge would be $156.27 and that this rate would expire on 10/2024. Four months in and they increase the monthly charge to $179.69. I chat and call them and they tell me that certain promos have expired and that is why the cost went up. I took a screenshot of my chat in September which was proof that I was told it wouldn't change until October 2024 but they didn't care. I can't understand how a company doesn't honor a promised rate especially with written proof. Looking into other alternatives now. Cable companies wonder why people are getting rid of their cable!

Seems to have more frequent outages or other signal quality issues than my old service, but great (intro) price can't be beat. Problems have been quickly resolved and the trend seems to be towards better reliability.

irst off I have never heard of this company so I was very surprised when they called to confirm my service call. So first of all I can go in with my cell phone and cancels someone's appointment. When I tried to get an agent on the phone they make it impossible to do so. So to get someone I had to make up a technical issue which I knew that would ultimately get a human on there. When I got customer service agent on the phone ther professionalism was seriously lacking. The agent seemed to have lost her head set and was continue to talk and you could not hear the conversation. The connection for a broadband service in general was deplorable. While I was trying to figure out if they maybe had a connection to my current internet or my parents company the agent refused ro answer that and asked for my information. In the age of scams I would not release my information. I was not asking for them to release any pii (personal identifying information). So to think about it. There was a big issue on the company side that they probably did not confirm the other persons phone number so I would be scared that the company does not pay attention to details.

I was at the woodside Astound office.Mr Eustace Martin helped me with all of my problems.He is so fantastic customer service person. All of my problem were solved quickly and nicely. I'm super duper happy customer.He is awesome.....

Danny was terrific! After a couple of attempts by astound He finally solved my problem that we have had for a long time which was not getting full and even power Wi-Fi in each of the 3 rooms of our apartment. Thank you so much Danny!!

I've been with rcn for about three years now, initially it was ok, I sort of dealt with itLately, the service is horrible.. it is definitely being throttled, even thought no one admits it.. my internet literally crawls between 11am to 7 pm.On top of it, they raised my internet price 3x in three years.. from $50 a month to $148!Canceling as soon as possible,They know this is NYC people here are busy and taking advantage of it

Dan Malloy at RCN/Astound provided me with exceptional customer service during my recent interaction with him.The problems I was having with connectivity with my cable service had multiple components which required extensive knowledge and expertise. Mr. Malloy had that, and stayed with me throughout, even going so far as to give me his direct number in case there were any further issues.Rarely do you see this level of dedication or true desire to be of help. I am so very grateful I he was assigned to my case and resolved all issues. I am so very appreciative of this! Thanks again!

Astound used to be RCN cable company. It’s got great service and prices it blows away spectrum and Verizon for a much cheaper price I’ve been with them over 30 yrs. I highly recommend

Bad customer service, couldn't help for applying acp. Hiding true price, the special rates are often higher than what was advertised online. Free moden rental is not real, always count on your bill.

I signed up for the $25/month internet. The ad said the installation was free. But I see an installation charge. The customer service person said I had to enter a discount code when signing up, Could you make this clear/explicit and save everyone a lot of trouble please.Also it says I can get a $40 / month bundle for internet+mobile and I get a $200 gift plus a month of free internet. It is not clear how to do this. The customer service persone seemed unclear too. Please train your customer service agents before they start taking calls.Thanks you
