I literally told staff that this item was essentially a recalled product, and they still have it out. They took it off the shelves and then put it back.

The second pharmacy window might as well be painted onto the wall because I've absolutely never seen the second register open, even with 30 minute wait times and a line around the corner. And forget asking for help in the rest of the store, I've had clueless employees tell me they don't stock a certain item and then I find it on the shelf directly in front of them. These people are checked out even by retail standards.

Please update your pharmacy hours online..9am to 9pmClosed for lunch 1:30-2I’ve lived in Astoria for over 20 years, recently changed my pharmacy to this one because it’s the closest one.. I regret that decision as the service is awful.. the staff is rude and insensitive.. change management perhaps ? it’ seems to be a common problemWhat I thought was a convenience, is very inconvenientLooks like I’m back to cvs a few miles away

I called since the morning all the way until the afternoon and it’s ridiculous that there is so many people working in the pharmacy and not one person can pick up the phone. When I go in person, they say that oh that I didn’t leave a voicemail when I shouldn’t have to leave a voicemail this people calling at the pharmacy for many reasons, and nobody should have to leave a voicemail voicemail. I’ve been dealing with this Pharmacy for years and never have. I had this problem at this extent.

Most items are unavailable at this place, and when you ask for help they make you feel uncomfortable. We were served by Mdmoyeen, worst attitude an employee can have.

Horrible! They don't even answer the phone. The phone keeps ringing and 3-4 employees just stand there doing nothing. The store wasn't even packed. Other customers were frustrated not getting their medicine either. The store closes at 11 pm, the pharmacy at 9 pm, the prescription was resent at 7 pm and they couldn't even fill it within 2 hours and plan on filling it the next day at 11 am.

So I wanted to be vaccinated but they forgot to tell they need some doctor advise before I get the shot. They never called in advance and I had an appointment already set. Came all the way to here just to be told that they can’t do anything and they will reach out to the doctor. Seriously they only make you waste your time and no empathy at all

Save your time and more importantly sanity and go somewhere else. Both rite aids in Astoria are the worst places ever. There was another one but it closed down and they are still not getting the message. If you complain they tell you to call the manager. They don't think unhappy customers will affect them if the store closes. The pharmacy is always out of stock, the lines are unacceptable and no one ever picks up the phone. Getting a prescription filled here is an ordeal every single time. Nobody can call the doctor's office for you, it is a different mistake each time etc. I've actually missed weeks of medications because of this. You have to quit your job to go and wait there and keep calling them every 5 minutes for an entire day before they pick up. The rest of the store is completely useless as well. Everything is under lock and key. There should be negative stars for costing people time.

Waited 30 mins for my prescription for them to tell me they need to call the pharmacy manager to get a password. How can CVS be THAT much better? I’ve gone to pharmacies with one person working the front and back that are faster than this six person place.

Pharmacist: We can't fill this prescription for a cephalosporin antibiotic because you're allergic to penicillin. Me: But I got a cephalosporin antibiotic prescription filled here earlier this year. Pharmacist: That order got canceled. Me (2 hours later & equipped with chart printouts): Ok, what happened earlier this year was I got prescribed amoxicillin, someone here called the doctor and told them I had a penicillin allergy, and it got swapped out for the cephalosporin. Here's the record from when you filled it. Pharmacist: No. (Points to record about the cephalosporin.) That one got cancelled. (Points to amoxicillin highlighted on the visit summary.) That one would have been ok for someone with a penicillin allergy. Me (Thinking WTF!?!? you know they both end in "-cillin," don't you!?): Just print out a transfer for me. This has me reminiscing about my now-deceased childhood friend, whose lifelong dream to be a compounding pharmacist came crashing down when he made an error behind the counter and almost killed a patient. Not that I think this issue is at that level, but I'm going to stay away from this place for a while.

Save your time and go somewhere else. The pharmacy is always out, everything is locked behind glass, and today I signed up for a vaccine a very much needed only to get there and find out they don’t have it- then for the older woman behind the counter to act as if I should have somehow known. Totally wasted time I could have used to go somewhere else.

Terrible absolutely horrible pharmacy. If you like being treated like a piece of garbage at the pharmacy though, this is the place for you. They’re rude aggressive and condescending. Got out of surgery and went to pick up my meds. I get there, in distress and pain and I’m told they need additional verification from my doctor and the staff are terribly rude and indifferent about it also saying the name of my private medications loudly so the whole line can hear. The doctor tries calling them and of course they don’t answer so he has to leave a voicemail so still without my necessary meds. Clown show.

The staff here have 0 customer service skills needed something from the beauty department it was locked I wait and no 1 ever came to assist a staff member who was there packing looked annoyed when I said I need help. She said it’s locked and spoke to someone then said they will come assist she can’t open it. I move onto the pharmacy department to check on my refill was informed it will be ready in next 15 minutes. I said I’ll come back later because I’m on my break. Just got a text it’s out of stock why not inform me when I was there. I honestly only use this pharmacy because my insurance requires it. This is just 1 of the numerous times things like this happen and I am only posting a review so management can try to improve their services.
