Would give zero stars. They lost half of my cargo and offered no solution. It has been more than two years and still nothing. Their representatives are not at all helpful.This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. The last representative I dealt with was extremely rude, offered compensation and then ignored me.Agree with others that they keep adding extra costs and you end up paying way more than initially quoted.

I cannot stress how much I recommend to NOT use this company.Our stuff left the US in February and arrived in the UK 7 months later.Our antique mirror was smashed to bits and we are missing boxes and a suitcase. The boxes and case I have enquired about and am just getting zero response.When I moved UK to US I dealt with a company who were INCREDIBLE (unfortunately do not do removals the other way) so I have experience of just how easy this process can be.Awful communication, numerous agents when I was told I would have one to "hold my hand from start to finish".Insanely expensive, awful customer service, once you get past the initial and hopeful sales call it is all downhill.I guess I'll never see my drone or an entire suitcase of my partner's shoes ever again and just not get a reply? Cool ??♂️I seriously messed up in my stress of moving continents by not reading these reviews first.Seriously, avoid, avoid, avoid.And Transparent, seriously wise up, you're awful and you absolutely ruined my experience of moving home.

I was interested in moving an antique bedroom set from Stamford, CT to Ontario, Canada and needed some information and quotes when I put out an email to Transparent International Movers on Saturday morning. Within a couple of hours, I received an email stating that one of the reps would contact me and within 48 hrs, I received a call from Steve Brodie, who was incredibly informative and professional. Easy to speak with, knowledgeable and honest. I really appreciated the time he took to explain everything to me in detail and highly recommend Transparent International Movers.

The sales process is very slick and helpful, this is the strength of this company. But it starts to break down from there. I realize there are things out of their control and they try to be up front about the layers of costs and unknown timing. My biggest issue and advice is DO NOT USE THEIR PARTNER INSURANCE COMPANY WTI world transit insurance brokers. Whoever these people are, WKW Webster are playing endless games on my claim. An eames lounge chair was broken in half. I understand accidents happen. That’s why you buy insurance. It’s been almost 3 months since the chair was delivered broken and they are still dancing around paying out and trying to “fix” something that is clearly un fixable and I’ve sent letters from a Herman Miller dealer and photos and anyways it’s clearly a grift, they are happy to take your money but totally unhelpful if there’s an issue.The time quoted from Chicago to Japan was 4-12 weeks. Large window. Ended up being door to door almost 18 weeks. So be it…Other items I wish I knew- you have to communicate with the receiving country yourself - in my case Japan. Every document I provided to Transparent was never shared with the agent in Japan. So this was frustrating because I thought they handled everything except the items they explained they couldn’t do. But literally everything had to be sent again. Sometimes Transparent would ask for a document I had sent long ago so I would forward the email again just to show that already had it. And always put your job number in the subject or it is never answered it’s just how they work.Also they contract out with local packers which I didn’t know and they all had to be tipped which seemed odd with the huge amount of “door to door” money spent. But they have your whole life in their hands and work so hard so just plan on this expense.The port expense they warned I had to pay myself and it’s true and it’s fine. There’s so much paperwork and detail some people complain but they likely didn’t listen or read. But again the name of this company suggests no hidden items but it’s all so complicated it’s like buying a cel phone plan and a car and you don’t know what you get until months later.Would I use this company again? Yes I think I would. Their Japan partner was amazing. First class. And my stuff did make it so I’m super grateful for that. Except the chair of course. But overall it was a very stressful experience. And I will certainly use a real insurance company and not the one they work with.

Anthony at Transparent International was very helpful in answering questions about a move from the US to Canada. He was very informative and gave me a detailed quote with every step I would need to do and everything his company would do. We ended up doing it ourselves, but appreciated the time Anthony gave us.

Thomas at Transparent International was very helpful with our move from New Jersey to France. We had a dedicated container with our home furnishings and a car. They arranged the pickup company in the US with a container, the shipping to the port, tracking information, duties and receiving in France, and last-mile delivery to our apartment in Nice. They crews were all extremely professional and did a great job with the move. We were very happy!

Transparent is truly what it says it is.....transparent. I received quick responses and thorough details to all my questions. I relocated overseas and was very worried about all of my items I've had living in the USA for 32 years arriving to Europe safely. I had a great customer relations experience. They made sure that their quote aligned with my specific needs, did a survey and had a really good overall follow up. They are definitely a top company out there. We ended up choosing another company for the relocation because we got a unique discount with an equally reputable company. Don't go for the cheapest, you will end up regretting it.

Worst Moving ever. Arrived at 7 pm instead of 12pm, short staffed, did half myself. lost parts, screws, came with no tools, stained the walls, forgot to number boxes. blocking delilery until you pay extra fees. charging for their delayed of delivery. Waiting for a month now and still being charged or delivert is blocked.

To who it all may concern I had the worst experience with this company my advice don't use this company they scam you for more money. Then wason their invoice from the start and then when it time to pick up and send .The people they send don't have a clue what they are doing.Never been so disgusting in my life how people stuff get packed and repacked and sent out the country please my advice this company shouldbe put of of business .Don't use look further into getting some else .Bad Bad

This has far and away been my WORST moving experience ever. These guys have taken the opportunity to gouge me on price at every turn. I spoke to 5 different players when deciding who to select and went with Transparent because they had great customer service and the pricing reasonable, not high, not low - and the team was willing to help organize storage. And then:1. During the move the movers showed up, and proceeded to tell me it was standard procedure for me to leave a 20% tip, on a $3,000 move they wanted an extra $600. No one at the company gave me this heads up. I gave them a few hundred dollars and felt guilty it wasn't the full 20%2. They quoted a flat $150 fee per month per storage, but what they didn't tell me was there was an extra $175 MONTHLY INSURANCE COST3. Once the items arrived in the target country, I have been hit with another bill >$1,000 for warehouse handling, port fees and fuel. All in the total cost is over 50% MORE THAN WHAT WE AGREED TO.Never use these guys - THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. When I moved from Asia to New York I used Santa Fe, it was straight forward, communicated clearly and so much less frustrating than this experience. Would give a lower rating if possible.

We moved from Connecticut USA to Nanaimo BC Canada. Our experience with International Transport has been excellent from beginning to end. We were kept in the loop during the entire process and all our questions were answered and updates were sent constantly. We would highly recommend using them for international moves.
