They didn't have the car we had reserved. They sent us to another rental location, promising us that the other location would have it, and that was not true. We wanted a sedan. We had no choice but to accept a pickup truck. We ended up returning that after one day, forfeiting the money for the other two days, because we didn't want that car. They did not return the money for the other two days.

Budget rent a car went out of their way to give me my request for a Toyota Corolla. They are very helpful and give a fair price. Upon return the representative quickly checked me out.

The staff at Budget at the Lynbrook, NY location are the best. They are professional, friendly and informative. They were very accommodating when I was choosing my car and were just as thorough and professional when I returned the car. The car was great and clean. Whenever I need to rent a car, I will be returning to Budget at this location.

I picked up my rental car in Lynbrook and was escorted to a vehicle that was completely dirty. The outside had bug residue on the windshield and front and the inside was even worse. I immediately noticed the inside was grease stained and asked for wipes and the representative attempted to “clean” the inside. After a few minutes I was able to enter the vehicle and as I attempted to adjust the headrest I feel oil on my fingers. The headrest was saturated with oil; utterly disgusting!! I wiped and a yellow residue came off on the wipe. I just drove to my first stop and got Clorox wipes and thoroughly wiped the inside and sprayed with Lysol. I tossed out water bottles and paper plates so I knew this vehicle wasn’t inspected or cleaned. I mean come on did we not learn anything post pandemic? I cannot refer anyone I know to the Lynbrook location and afraid to rent a vehicle from Budget in the future.

They allowed me to make a reservation using my debit card and then I got to the place after traveling two hours because they’re at a distance from my home on public transportation and when I gave them my debit card to hold the $250 they said they couldn’t do it I need a credit card. What was the purpose of allowing me to use debit and saying you accept debit on the website to then say you need a credit card. Then called customer service and they couldn’t help me either. This was a horrible and horrifying experience because I still had to go to work and had to wait around in the area because to go home made no sense due to the fact that by the time I got there I’d have to leave back out to go to work. I don’t recommend these ppl

I have rented vehicles from this location without incident in the past my last visit was horrible. Upon entering, the agent was very inattentive. No greeting whatsoever and appeared to be distracted. The vehicles I was initially assigned was old (2019) and in need of repair. I had to take it back within 10 minutes because of a knocking noise coming from the side of the vehicle. The replacement vehicle was filthy. The agent hadn't even checked to see if the car was clean before giving me the key. I had to request that the car be vacuumed and wiped down before I could use it. This car was old as well and needed an oil change (the change engine oil message came on the screen and low window wiper fluid message came on the screen. I returned the vehicle the next day and simply do not plan to use the location any longer. Very disappointed by the overall and process and product.

Rented a car in Lynbrook location. They gave me a truck. Everyone was great. Great place to rent a car. A++++

All customers if there are many individuals saying the same thing guarantee yourself that this company is as they say it is. Atop renting and let Avis hold this branch accountable so they can provide efficient, reliable clean service i will not be coming to this branch I was about to book this branch vehicle, but I am take the advice of other customers and go somewhere else.

I picked up a car from budget, it was filthy, there was dirt all over the interior, you couldn’t even see the mirrors, I called customer service and they offered zero solutions.

Budget always find some way of charging you after you return the rental when the issue has to do with the Budget clerk not DOING HIS JOB! I am tired of fighting with Budget for a refund of some charge that I am not suppose to receive in the first place! I rent too often for that. Looks like I will have to take my business elsewhere!

I will not rent from this location again.Customer service was absolutely the worst I have experienced ANYWHERE..Wait, no He let me use the bathroom. The car was dirty, handled poorly, had zero identifying paperwork, no driver manual, no mud mats, handled poorly etc. Thankfully, I did not discover whether there was a spare or not..but if I am guessing there likely was not...just based on everything else missing and the fact that the "ball capped" man behind the counter did no walk about or inspection, only handed me the keys and pointed to the car in the parking lot. There was ZERO customer service. I returned with the car the following day, in hopes of exchanging it or returning it and renting elsewhere, but there were no other vehicles..I asked about the missing items and no registration documents or manual in the vehicle, and was told that " the registration is on the plate. I asked about any identifying information that the vehicle is a rental and the driver manual. "All you need is this rental agreement" Which, by the way had no Identifying logo and was on no letterhead. The word Budget was on the third to last line, near the signature line. When I asked about the mats, I was told, "People take things. You know it is a rental...We rent this car all of the time"..Same ball capped guy. Maybe, this would not be the case if he did an inspection and checked for the things that people take. It was terrible. Finally, the fact that the car was dirty may seem like no big deal. However, 8 of the hours I drove, were in the darkness of night, through the South. Cloudy, dirty, streaked windows make for hazardous driving in the pitch-blackness of night. I happily left the car in Georgia and took the $400 hit. The worst rental experience ever. Never again.
