I would give zero stars if I could! I only shop here if absolutely necessary! At 7pm on 12/19/25, the cashier attempted to give me back $1.00 change all in nickels. The line was a mile long and he proceeded to tell the rest of the customers that his manager wasn’t in the store and unless they had exact change, he had to close his register. Please close this location already!

I had this super uncomfortable experience there today (Monday, October 6). I had already scanned my three items and had my debit card in the machine when the cashier, the only one in the store, appeared behind me standing uncomfortably close and loudly chewing gum with her mouth open. I paused and stared at her, it was so intrusive and distracting.
Surely, there has to be a better way to monitor customers, rather than breathing down their neck and rudely and loudly chewing gum.

Good Afternoon,
I am a loyal customer at your Dollar Tree located at 699 Merrick Rd, Lynbrook, NY 11563. I shop at this store two to three times a week for both my home and my classroom. Unfortunately, after my experience today, I am not sure I will ever return.
I have never felt so disrespected and humiliated in my life. Since it was raining, I wore a head wrap to cover my hair. While I was scanning my items at the self-checkout, one of your employees, a Hispanic white female, loudly accused me of not scanning one of my items. In reality, I had already scanned that item but was holding it in my hand while I continued scanning the others. To avoid further embarrassment, I scanned it again.
The situation escalated further when another employee, a Hispanic male, stood next to me and began singing a song about people stealing and getting caught. This was completely inappropriate, degrading, and humiliating. Not only did I end up scanning the same item multiple times, but I also spent nearly $60 during that visit. Why would I ever attempt to steal an item that costs $1.75?
To be accused and mocked in this way—especially in my own neighborhood—is beyond insulting. I carry myself with dignity, and I should never be treated as though I am a criminal, especially by staff members whose job is to serve customers respectfully.
I am requesting that this matter be addressed immediately. The behavior of your employees was not only unprofessional but also discriminatory and damaging. I would like to know what corrective action will be taken to ensure no other customer is subjected to this kind of mistreatment.
I hope to receive a prompt response regarding how this issue will be resolved.

I don’t like this particular Dollar Tree because there is no parking in the lot, the store is always in disarray and the lines are always long. Now that the prices have gone up…I won’t be going back. I can get better deals with more quality at Walmart and Target now.

The worker there hit us with the cart, and started yelling saying we were in her way and then came up with lies, bringing attention to us. The attitude is very disrespectful, if you’re working there, I thought you were suppose to show respect, we tried not making a big deal of it but she started talking negativity about us. Please make sure you’re more polite with customers, thank you.

I bought a shower curtain and shower rings which was broken. When I came back to tell the person says is the manager. She said to is nothing she can do because was open . Os course I has to open to use it it’s when I see is broken and she said next time don’t buy here if you don’t want something not good material. I wonder what kind the training they have to said that about the store you work for.
