“My favorite place to buy my groceries. Been shopping there for over 20 years. This is a seasonal fruit and vegetable market in the old world style. The prices and quality of the produce are excellent for in-season fruit. We can't expect to get the same quality of the same produce when it is out of season for anyone who posted a poor review. Since my children were little the great displayed produce helped them find new and interesting fruit and veggies to eat. Many times they see a new seasonal item and tried it. Cross Island is a great family run business by owner Joe who is always watching over the quality. The staff on the aisles recognizes customers and is always helpful. The butcher and seafood are top notch and beat any poor factory style meat from the big corporate chains. Shop local and support your community by sharing this great gem in Lynbrook. They have helped me raise a healthy family for years.”
“Omg amazing. Cider is an apple in a glass. Pies just so delish. Apple donuts dry but still yummy. The glass of hot cider to drink as I left soooGood..Staff stellar!!”
“Steamed seafood, yum. You pick your seafood, you pick your veggie sides, they literally season to taste; then into the steamer it goes. Everything is cooked to order in front of you and is to go ONLY. You're in the store/wait for about 20 to 30 mins.*If you don't like your veggies soft separate them from the seafood and tell them 5 mins. The seafood is steamed about 15 mins.Good healthy options. They do fry also but most orders are steamed. Smart concept.”

35-15 Bell Blvd, Queens“Bayside milk farm is an excellent small business and local staple. Employees are kind members of this community who remember the regulars and are always available to help. Wholesome spot. The guy in the comments talking about non service dogs was probably the person yelling he would write a nasty review in the store when someone had what was clearly a service dog with them minding their own business. Came storming in and out. The place is hygienic people, but also caters to those in need of service animals. Most people in the store smile and wave at the animal legally allowed to be there. All in all fun spot and as a regular felt I oughta defend my local grocer. #BaysideBoys”
“I love this place. I get my fruits and vegetables here all the time. This is the best place you could ever find. Saverio is very helpful in helping me pick my produce, I will always go to this shop .”

750 Sunrise Hwy, Valley Stream“Very happy with this location as their prices for many items are lower than Walmart. Food is always fresh as their storeroom does not stock up on food/perishables. What is on shelves is for the day only and restocked everyday.”
“Best produce grocer EVER!! I have no idea why people are giving this place less than 5 stars unless they are unrealistically discriminating. Go there and you will see for yourself. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”
“Clean cool, nicely organized. Prices high, yet we need the items. They are friendly and cashier is great. In and out safely quickly. Mrs. Alma Opal Flowers ? Park Ave/New Cassel Westbury.”
“Mom wanted a fruit platter for her 90th birthday party. She wanted many berries and kiwis. We got them on a huge platter of beautifully crafted melons and pineapple and plum slices. The artistic arrangement and ripe sweet juicy fruits were amazing. Highly recommend.”
“Good location, wide selection, with small attached food court and bubble tea shop. This location offers most of what I usually go to an Asian supermarket to purchase and can do so at fairly reasonable prices, they also have the space to set up seasonal product tables. The checkout lanes are wide and allows easy access to move items from my cart to the conveyor belt. The one star deduction is because their fresh produce is less fresh than some other markets. One point for additional consideration is that the attached food court area contains a stall for Shanghai Yu Garden.”

201 Henry St, Hempstead“Very small store, almost like a little corner deli. Has a bit of everything that speaks to Caribbean flavors and foods. Fresh produce and spices used in a lot of island cooking. Three tight fitting aisles, no shopping carts but they have hand baskets. If you have small children either carry them, let them walk, or use an umbrella stroller. A full size stroller won't fit down the aisles. A good portion of the products are obviously hand-packaged. Prices are really good on almost everything! Portions are available in various sizes for most items. Staff was friendly and helpful. For authentic Caribbean cooking this is a good place to start for ingredients.”

973 Front St, Uniondale“I've been going here all my life. It has changed from a small fruit and vegetable stand to a small supermarket. The owners keep the place clean and the produce is fresh. Theier stock is varied, inexpensive, and good quality.”

280 Peninsula Blvd, Hempstead“Aldi's always reminds me of a trader Joe's style store. Not a whole bunch of fresh stuff. There's a lot of canned and packaged goods. A lot of ultra processed things. So buyee beware. With that said, it's a great place to go to get your shelf staples and things for the freezer. I get french fries, frozen pizzas, sauces and things of that nature. I also get my salads from there and bread on occasion. I just don't think it's the kind of place you could go for your regular food shopping. It serves as a supplement for me to get some snack style foods or quick to prepare foods. As usual, watch the ingredients and enjoy your food!”

92-29 168th St, Queens“Aldi is indeed a good place to shop. However, things run out too fast. Guess the in stock products are limited. Personal experience, British Aldi seem to carry a greater variety of produce. Nonetheless, the store in Jamaica Queens is the best.”
