Changed 2010 Honda Crv rear cat and exhaust pipe gasket because it was extremely rusted and falling apart. Owner went over process and showed what was done at the end. He was very clear on pricing and explained different options. Great work

Went in for a full synthetic oil change today and he wanted to charge me $130.00 because he had to use Lucas oil stabilizer fluid. Which by itself $20.00 at the auto parts store. When I asked him why is he charging me that much money he says it's all about location. What a RIP off and turn off never going here again they price gouge all because of the location they're in according to the person in front desk.

You won’t find mechanics here you’ll only find salesmen and terrible ones too. Make sure you ask how much they will charge to diagnose your vehicle. I was charged $60 just for them to put it up on the lift and they took less than 30 seconds to identify the problem and that was $60. He did give me $10 off making it $50. But my problem was a simple fix but he wanted me to replace my entire exhaust system for $2500!! That’s half of what my car is worth not sure why he think that would be a good sale pitch. I asked for the hole in the exhaust pipe to be covered and that he said would be $400 I went to citi field and the mechanics there were able to fix it for $180 instead of me having to replace my entire exhaust system. DO NOT COME HERE! They are way too over priced and don’t have the desire to help you just to upsell you on things you really don’t need.

I can tell you that I COMPLETELY trust Jasper of Merrick Automotive and his staff.
They are highly competent, extremely fair, explain everything with great clarity, and reasonably priced.
I had major brake work done here in late December, 2023, to my great satisfaction.
This week, Jasper will replace the starter and ignition box on my 2016 Toyota Yaris, with 92,000 miles on it, now exactly eight years old.
I grew up in Lynbrook, and my friend Jimmy from North Star Collision & Towing put me on to this wonderful automotive mechanic and body shop firm on the Lynbrook/Valley Stream border.
I could not be more pleased with my experience here and look forward to be a lifelong customer.
