They sold me a very sick 7 month old dog. He has severe Giardia and I haven't been able to get rid of this parasite in 4 months. Dog is anxiety ridden and has not gained a pound since i got him. This place should be shut down! Horrible customer service. Very unethical- place should be shut down. Do your research and stay away!

If I could give this review no star I would. I came in looking to buy a dog. I asked if I was able to play with one of the dogs. After waiting for about 15 minutes I was denied service. Either the owner or the manager came up to me and said it wasn't a petting zoo. There were multiple people in there playing with dogs but I was denied. Even though there were others there playing with multiple dogs at once. Most of the dogs looked malnourished and had poop all over them. The place itself is dirty and they have horrible customer service. I would NEVER go back again.

bought a puppy for $4,000 here and it died two days later. Do Not Go Here. A buddy bought a dog and they lied about what type of breed it was after getting a DNA test. Has so many allergies and problems. Do Not Go Here. your dog will not be normal or will survive

My family was a sold an extremely sick puppy. The day after she was brought home, she could not stop vomiting and did not eat. She has been on an IV for two days and has not left the emergency vet. Absolutely do not buy a dog from here

Deprivation of animal life, and an inability to sustain life when it matters. The suffering I witnessed eclipses the worst dreams I ever had. There is also the human suffering component. At the time of sale, there is no real-time evaluation to determine the health of the puppy. Disease has an incubation period - my truly awful experience is proof of that. The NY Attorney General has an active lawsuit in which a temporary restraining order forced the closure due to the alleged conditions. They have since reopened. If you walk by the store, just cross the street. No words. Case status - ongoing --

Mean, Evil, Deceptive, and CunningThis is a dishonorable business. They’ll talk you into buying an overpriced puppy and then refuse to take it back for any reason even if the reason is protected by law. Will do anything to squeeze you dry of your money including forcing you to buy unnecessary supplies for the puppy before you are allowed to take it home.Believe me these people are dirt bags. I don’t use that term lightly. The worst businessI have ever dealt with in my life no exaggeration. They will prey on anyone including young people.Edit: I certainly have been a customer here and I am new to google reviews. If you actually took the time to read the reviews I wrote you would see they are a mix of both positive and negative. You deserve a negative review because you are the scum of the earth especially Tom and Tito.

This is the worst place to ever buy a dog. they have horribly unhealthy dogs we had to put our German Shepard down we purchased from them for over 5k... we got him at 9 weeks old and his first vet visit we Found out he had multiple infections from other dogs being locked up together

Purchase our 4 month old puppy from Shake A Paw! They held our hand throughout the entire process. We were very well informed for the ongoing vet process and they even paid for some of her shots.. 10/10 customer service!

It was great to see the dogs online before going to the store. We were looking for a poodle puppy and were able to see that there were, in fact, poodle puppies in the store. So, we were just looking and certainly not thinking we would come home with a puppy that day. However, when you feel a connection with a dog and you just KNOW - well, we just KNEW that this girl was the dog for us! When we got to the store we found the whole place surprisingly clean and all of the staff we saw are super attentive to patrons and to the puppies. There are a lot of puppies here and they are not in cages - they are in these large open enclosures where they can play and romp and socialize with all the other puppies. We liked this because the puppies didn't look stressed or upset at all. It seemed the moment a puppy soiled inside the enclosure there was a staff person inside it cleaning it up literally within a minute. No joke, this is a clean place where the puppies looked happy. (We were there at least 2 hours and saw consistent cleaning and attention.)We came to see one female poodle puppy and we spent over an hour with her in a mostly private area where we could play with her and see her temperament over time. She was almost too perfect so we asked to see another puppy with her and he was not the temperament we were looking for. We made the decision to take this little girl home and we've had her for nearly two years now. She is the 5th poodle our family has had since I'm a child and she ranks in the top 2 of the BEST dogs we have ever had. She is so smart and sweet and healthy! The dogs do live in large communal pens so it was not surprising to find out that she had Giardia when we got her. We took her to the free vet visit that came with her purchase and they diagnosed the condition and gave us treatment. We then took her to our own vet that we have used for decades and they agreed the treatment was correct. She was fine in about a week or 10 days. Both the free vet and our own local vet told us that dogs from Shake a Paw are about as healthy as dogs from a shelter or a private breeder and that gave us a lot of confidence. The Shake a Paw staff are patient, friendly, treat the dogs nicely and the place really is clean and well-maintained. We were never pressured to make a decision or even to hurry up and put the puppy back. We got the sense that they really wanted us to feel secure in our purchase as a new puppy is a huge commitment. We would recommend Shake a Paw for anyone looking for a puppy. We are absolutely in love with our little mini-poodle and feel so incredibly lucky to have found her. She is absolutely the perfect dog for our family - which is multi-generational babies up to great-grandma - and our little girl gets along with everyone and all other dogs.We have ZERO REGRETS purchasing our dog from Shake a Paw in Lynbrook. In fact, we feel like we won the lottery with our little girl - she is terrific in every way! THANK YOU!

Lot's of cute pups. They say that you can order a pup that they don't have in store. A little pricey, but they claim that you will get the offical papers with your pet. I plan to get a pup in the next 36 months...

My fiance bought a Boxer here and since we got him, the dog arrived sick. This dog never had a solid bowl movement. Sad that other people I spoken to also have gotten sick dogs from this place. I do not recommend getting a dog from this place.

Great place. So many puppies to choose from and they all appear to be healthy and happy which speaks volumes about the staff. I went there for 1 puppy in particular, but if I was shopping around I would've had many options.

7/22/23 My wife, Daughter and I went to Save a Paw. To look for a new puppy since our dog of 15 years had passed away. Christina and Tina both were extremely helpful, we finally adopted a Daisy dog and named him Cooper. He is 5 months old, he is such a loveable pup and smart and just an all around pleasure. Our experience at Save a Paw was the absolute best I highly recommend anyone wanting a puppy this is the place to go.
