April 2023 by Veronica Choroco
Do not go here! I lost my accountant and scrambled to find a new one for 2021 last year. He was recommended to me by a colleague years ago, so I thought I give him a try.- Super nice initial intro conversation. I was excited, but then very poor follow up, lack of communication and overall customer service.- He did a very low estimated state taxes for 2022 (for which I'm paying now a penalty)- No guidance on estimated federal for 2022. He gave me a super low number, I paid more just to be on the safe side. I was right. He's a super nice guy, but that is about it. They are not organized. I would never recommend him.UPDATE: I'm no longer a client. Got an email in April with an attached extension document. I called and email saying, I'm no longer a customer. Approx. 2 weeks later, I got an email saying my extension was filed. I was so angry! I called to tell them "what the eff is going on over there"? I was promised a called back. Though I will follow up with them next week, I'm not holding my breath. THIS ACCOUNTING FIRM IS HORRIBLE.

Been going since they had Long Island tax in east meadow. Although now retired and just get short forms, it’s worth price. If EVER in trouble or problem they got you on top priority. Silly to go anywhere else. I go from Levittown. William J Mahoney

Did our taxes with Wolfsohn and was extremely disappointed. Sent him our paperwork on time and when we checked back in after April 15 he admitted to 'dropping the ball' and not getting them submitted. We got hit with late penalties from the IRS which he refused to pay any part of. The least professional account I've worked with and I had a previous one that went to jail.

Helped us with some complicated and difficult nonsense — powerfully knowledgeable and endlessly helpful. Very grateful for their help.

Very reliable firm for business accounting. We have been with them for more than 10 years.

Do not use this firm. Jonathan seems to be a nice guy, but he has a very short memory. I hired him to give me some general tax advice for 1 hour. We were done after 30 minutes. He still charged me for the full hour, and then promised to give me a discount on my annual tax return. When I got the invoice he refused to stand by his own word and did not give me the discount.Needless to say I changed accountants. One year after I stopped using them his office sends me invoices for services which they did not provide. This is not what you want to experience with an accountant. Ridiculous!

They are extremely slow in taking care of people when they come in. And when they do finally get to you it is like you are an inconvenience to them. And not to bring race into this but they help three other people before they even looked at me even though I got there first.

DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO HORRIBLY MESS UP YOUR TAX RETURN AND COST YOU EVEN MORE MONEY THAN THEY SHOULD IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY ARE FAR FROM DETAIL ORIENTED AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DRIVEN. I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE TO HANDLE ANY OF MY FINANCIAL MATTERS AGAIN.

This year having our taxes done, was not so great, Couldn't get appt with Johnthan, Which was disappointing, but we got Tony who was very nice, He told us to come back on Monday-to sign the papers, since we had our taxes done on a Saturday, and no one was working in the office that day. When we called, they informed us they sent it out in the mail, we asked why, since we were told we would get a call to come in a take care of it. We came in, and sign our signatures and we thought it was taken care of. Usually we get a e- mail within 24 hrs saying it was accepted from Fed,and State, No email. I called the office on Tuesday and when I explained the situation the young guy that had us sign on Monday he looked and sure enough he forgot to SUBMIT it to the IRS. I'm very disappointed- it seems if Johnthan is not there -things are not up to level you become accustom to. Will have to see and keep my fingers crossed that all will work out.

No one likes to do taxes, but Jonathan takes the pain and stress out of it... not only with his EXTENSIVE knowledge of our tax system but with his easy manner and funny sense of humor! We walk in with a frown and back out with a smile.
