Crooked Pines Golf Club offers a pleasant and enjoyable golf experience with a layout that appeals to both beginners and more experienced players. The course features a lot of space and a layout that is not overly difficult, making it suitable for those new to golf. Recent improvements include the removal of about 200 dead trees, which has significantly enhanced the course’s greens, allowing them to roll true, although some patches still need attention. The fairways are generally in good shape, and the course boasts some tough holes with great design and beautiful views. The course is currently under new ownership, with plans to upgrade the clubhouse, restaurant, bar, and even add a brewery, promising exciting changes ahead. Some features like sand traps need TLC, as many are dirt with grass growing in them. Despite some areas needing improvement, visitors appreciate the friendly staff, reasonable prices, and special deals, especially in the afternoons. Overall, Crooked Pines is seen as a great course with lot of potential, offering a fun and scenic round of golf.
Not overly difficult and lots of space. Very enjoyable layout. New owners may enhance the experience with clubhouse restaurant and bar renovations. (I hope)

Much improved since last I played about two years ago. They have (literally) removed about 200 dead trees. Although there are still some bad patches on a few greens, they are vastly better and roll true. A great course for a beginner.
