“I had my bridal shower at Thornbee and it was a wonderful experience. The event space was a great size for an intimate gathering and the kitchen space made it easy to bring in food/drinks. The farm also offered favors of maple syrup & honey that were a hit in addition to coffee and tea. The owners were communicative and accommodating during the planning process which made everything feel easy. I'd recommend this place for any future shower or other private event!”
“What an incredible, beautiful place to hold a wedding, meeting, or reunion. Stone structures, arches, waterfalls. Outside bar in stone with marble top in a grotto. Just fantastic.”

“Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful. Two issues were - no microwave in rooms and only one uncomfortable desk chair for a two person room. There were no upholstered chairs.”

“My wife and I got married in late October of 2022 and held our wedding reception at The Ballroom at Carey Lake. Our experience was truly incredible! The building was beautifully decorated, the food was excellent, the fall colors around the exterior were super vibrant and perfect for pictures, and the entire staff was amazing to work with. We picked The Ballroom at Carey Lake largely because of Jody. She was fantastic to work with from start to finish! She answered our questions, was very communicative and knowledgeable, and truly helped us make our wedding day memorable. We highly recommend Jody and her amazing team at The Ballroom at Carey Lake!”
