It's a nice place to shop at Jo Ann's, Big Lots, and Runnings, but I was so sad there is so much property empty, forgotten.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Helpful friendly staff, great products at great prices, clean, beautiful store, and the food is out of this world.

Unfortunately it is mostly empty and the parking lots are nothing but potholes. The good thing is that Big lots is opening this year. Malone needs businesses to come here and help this town thrive again

It’s nostalgic to me growing up in Malone but all the stores are gone. They somewhat fixed parking lot and Big lots is opening later this year!

Overall, I enjoy our Malone, NY, Runnings Store & am grateful to have it now. I especially love their card variety and quality. I like their clothing, but have yet to purchase anything, as unfortunately, it's overpriced. I dislike the fact that the floor staff has never once acknowledged me, my shopping companion(s), or anyone else shopping nearby me, that I've ever heard... and I've paid close attention. It's great that they seem very focused on their tasks, typically stocking shelves, but it also feels odd when you've entered the isle, are searching the wall, standing right next to them, but they don't glance, offer a friendly smile, or acknowledge your proximity in any way. Forget asking if you're finding everything okay. The checkout clerks are quite friendly while cashing us out, but there again is a missed opportunity for customer service points on my score ☆(above.) On multiple occasions we've left Runnings without a 'necessary' item, (for us, that day) pretty disappointed we can't support local business, forced to order online. This week, our chainsaw blade/chain broke while splitting wood, halting progress. Runnings had many, but not the specific number we needed. We had to go over to the seemingly younger, male staff standing behind a desk nearby and request help, which was not offered freely or timely. His responses were vague and fruitless, totally ineffective for selling us the item. Some of what he stated included how the chain we needed "might be on an impending delivery," but also "might not," as it "should've been there now," according to the system he was checking. Then he remarked how deliveries were vastly affected and altered by covid. With no proposal to meet our immediate and inescapable needs, we were thereby forced to return home and order online which was a shame.
