Our second oil tank was not flowing into the first tank and we ran out of oil. Our existing oil delivery service at 2:00pm said they could not provide delivery until the next day. I called Suburban Propane and they were able to create an account for me on the phone and delivery oil that evening. That is true customer service!!

I was pleasantly surprised when my $75. delivery charge was credited from my previously paid balance. This left me with a zero balance due!I am so happy with Suburban and hope to have a long and satisfied relationship with them.

This company has a lot of turnover and as a result there are a lot of inexperienced employees including the telephone rep I spoke to recently. She said that an inch or two of snow on the ground could cause the delivery truck to turn over. They left me high and dry and I now have no fuel for heating this winter because their new delivery drivers refuse to deliver in January, despite the fact that my driveway and the road were plowed. They have delivered in mid-January for the past 7 years with snow present. The delivery dates each January are available on my service history on my account. I will no longer do business with this second rate company. They provide service in the Adirondacks where it SNOWS in the winter. Funny thing.

I received a 11/26/23 "STATEMENT" showing I had made a payment of $287.38 on 10/26/23, and that I had a "CREDIT BALANCE" of "-$287.38," and that "NO PAYMENT DUE."On 11/30/23 (FOUR DAYS LATER) I received an "INVOICE" showing a propane delivery was made on 11/29/23, and stating "Amount Due $266.92." and "Due Date: Upon Receipt."The 11/30/23 "INVOICE" made no mention of the $287.38 credit balance, nor it did apply the new -$266.92 propane charge against the existing $287.38 credit balance and show a new, lower credit balance.Apparently Suburban Propane expected me - without mentioning it - to do Suburban Propane's math for it; but to reiterate: the 11/30/23 INVOICE clearly states "Amount Due: $266.92" and "Due Date: Upon Receipt."I only stumbled upon the 11/26/23 "STATEMENT" after writing a check for $266.92.Calling Suburban Propane's two (2) telephone numbers on the INVOICE and the STATEMENT was unfruitful as well as maddening. I spoke with three women each of whom seemed incapable (1) of not interrupting, and (2) of understanding that if an INVOICE states "Amount Due" and "Due Date: Upon Receipt" then such document is demanding payment immediately. The last woman I spoke with (Megan) said the conversations were recorded and that she would write, and copy me on, an email to (?) relating my issues with Suburban Propane's confusing, conflicting INVOICEs and STATEMENTs. (We'll see.)I was also told that the INVOICES were generated by the delivery drivers (as if a customer is supposed to know that) and that the customer should only pay the STATEMENTs and not the INVOICES (even though the INVOICES clearly state "Amount Due" and "Upon Receipt").Lousy phone system.Lousy customer service.(I am awarding one STAR - which I did not want to do - because I cannot post without doing so.)

I am a new customer to Suburban Propane and I have to say, their customer service is outstanding - - very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. In particular, Christy in the customer service dept, and Dustin, one of their field technicians, were absolutely awesome! It is clear to see that Suburban Propane really does care about its customers and I am happy to be one of them ! I highly recommend them for your propane and home heating needs.

Back when we first got our tank there wasn't a rental fee. Also there wasn't a minimum fee. Now I pay about 70.00 dollars for really nothing. It is a camp not always being used. I am very unhappy.

I was sent a bill for propane delivery and service that I didn’t receive. I had tried to set up service in January 2022. I had to pay a $10 fee in order to get a consultation. After the consultation I couldn’t get anybody to respond to me and I haven’t heard from them since January 2022. When I received this bill in may 2023 and called about it, I was told that they sent me a bill bc they were confused why I hadpaid the consultation fee.. so instead of calling me… they produced a false charge?
