This is a intimate showing theatre. Interior is very nice, a/c is good as well as movie quality. This is a pretty good theatre with 1:40 screen to seating ratio. There are all good viewing angles with leather seats. Popcorn is a little on the salty side but soda is crisp and bubbly. The best part (* on tuesday's after 5, movie tickets are for 5*)

Low staffed. Popcorn has way too much salt. And overall the service is horrible. Also, there are always people screaming through the movie. This isn't a first time thing. I've been here more than once, and every single time there have been people talking throughout the whole movie.

This is a wonderful downtown theater in Manhasset New York. It's been open since 1927. Yes it's open again now so the status should be changed to open.Nearly 1000 seats three screens so you won't be sitting in a tiny little shoebox theater here

we celebrated my son's birthday watching a movie. It was a little hard to understand who to contact (you should email
[email protected]) but once I got in touch the two guys that run the place were awesome. they were extremely flexible with time and movie played which made booking the birthday so easy.At the party we got a dedicated theater and the manager was so nice and accommodating. its just nice to have a local theater and I hope the community will keep supporting them so we can keep it! my son said it was the best party ever.

I totally felt bad for the staff here. It was 90 degrees out and my family and I wanted to enjoy a movie given the Minions just came out. Opening Day, they should have expected a crowd. The air conditioning seemed to have conked out or not really working. There were stand alone fans at the concession stand and every theater had propped their door open for air. There were only two cashier's at the concession and one other staffer to scoop popcorn or get drinks filled. All three looked like they were in High School. (Eventually an adult appeared outside the theater on the second floor which was the maintenance/cleaning person and perhaps a manager finally appeared when I was leaving the theatre). The box office was closed so tickets were issued at the concession stand. A bit confusing as there were folks who wanted snacks as opposed to folks who just needed to scan and print tickets to get into the movie. Either way, lines were long and it was hot! I had half a mind to ask for a refund but management didn't disclose there was a problem. Grr.Seats are not reserved here, first come first serve. Stadium style seating and seats were comfy. But this visit, the air conditioner almost non-existent made the theater very uncomfortable. The fan or air coming from propping the door open helped. Just barely. Movie was supposed to start at 5pm, it started 30 minutes late. No announcements or anything were made. The movie was almost sold out as well so it was really rowdy when folks got antsy. I shall not return until they fix everything. A hot mess!!

This movie theatre is beyond disgusting. Couldn't even watch the first 10 minutes without people screaming in the theatre. Super dirty and unsanitary. We ended up leaving and couldn't even get our money back , the employees are lazy and didn't do anything about it. The soda and snacks are terrible , soda was flat so disgusting. Do not go to this theatre because you'll just be disappointed and won't get your money back.

The Manhasset Movie Theatre, though old and dated, transports me back to simpler times where movie going was first in children's minds. Now all children wish to do is get drunk and use electronic cigarettes. They should take a page out of one of the staff member's book. A mild mannered, deep voiced young man who works behind the counter always greets me with a smile on his face, not to mention he is quite handsome. What an old soul! Preserve Manhasset's History!
