My Springer went there three times. The third was the last. I can't say what went on as I wasn't there but the dog was visible shaken when he got home and had huge scrape on his forehead.

Beware. The 650 plus dollars to adopt gets you a dog with possible severe health issues. Nothing is said upfront. Paperwork is emailed to you after they get the money and adopton is final. References are not checked nor do they check your vet as claimed.

My fiance and I adopted our dog Lucy from dog gone inn 2 years ago. She was so happy when she came out to greet us when we picked her up. The experience of adopting a dog through dog gone inn was amazing. The staff was extremely polite and very helpful. We have brought Lucy back for a weekend stay while we went out of town and that experience was also amazing. If you want to adopt a pet, this is the place to go. Thank you all so much for the addition our family, she is amazing.

We adopted our Vera last summer. Leah answered all of our questions and made the process as easy as possible. We drove 2 hours to adopt from Leah's shelter, and tomorrow we're doing it again to get a dog for my daughter. We'd drive a lot farther than that, in fact. Leah is reliable, thorough, and honest when you ask her about the animals in her care. I'm sure we'll continue to do business at Dog Gone Inn!

These are the 3 babies DGI Inc has placed in my home. The Yorkie was our first. Leah learned the type of personality that worked with my home very quickly. When I called to see about another Yorkie, Leah had 7 available. Ironically, we specifically didn’t want a chihuahua or a male. We brought him home on a trial basis and there was no going back. Leah even brought him to the vet with me as he had some health conditions we wanted to be confident we could handle. Last but not least is Ruby. Ruby came with info that she needed some dental care. Leah realized Ruby fit the personality that we LOVE. She asked if we would take her and she’s been an amazing fit with my pack. Thanks Leah for finding us perfect fits!!!

Beware of boarding your pet here; they will charge you just to pick up your pet. We boarded our dog for 4 days, 4 nights. We were not allowed to pick her up earlier than 10 a.m. of day 5, and then were charged an extra full day's fee for the partial morning. Owner insists that's just their policy, although there is no such disclosure on the web site, nor has it been updated to reflect increased prices. We tried to explain that motels don't charge customers for their check-out day, but this logic was lost on the owner of Dog Gone Inn. Don't enable this scam to tack on extra fees. Take your business elsewhere

Adopted a dog from DGI a month ago. He had a swollen area below his anus. I asked what that was from and was told he had had a bilateral hernia repair. The owner said she would have to send me the paperwork later. I went to the vet and was told the swelling was from a reoccurance of his right sided hernia. Upon viewing the paperwork from the vet who had done the repair, he had noted that further surgery may be needed for his right side. Repair is necessary and will be costly. Also mentioned was that he had broken upper canines with severe dental disease, along with a heart murmer. My vet said to watch for abscessed teeth. If it occurs, it would be very expensive to correct. None if this was mentioned to me prior to adoption. In their advertisement, it says that the $650.adoption fee is high, because it takes care of whatever is needed for them to be adopted - vet care, neuters, vaccinations, microchip etc. Also they claimed he was good with cats, dogs and kids. He has tried to attack my cats and has shown dog aggression. We are currently going through training to "leave it" to avoid any more confrontations. I feel that information should have been given to me prior to adoption. I emailed DGI, but never received a response. I do not recomend adoption from here. They do not give an accurate description of the animal nor are they upfront about possible health issues.

After searching Pet Finder for a husky. Filling out applications and not hearing anything or being denied because I have a job and a cat. It was nice to get a quick response from Leah. She was accommodating with an appointment on Saturday for me. I wasn't planning on getting a puppy, but while meeting , I knew I found my new buddy. On the way home I named him Buddy and stopped Tractor Supply for his first shopping adventure. He did great. It did take couple weeks for him to settle in and me to learn about puppy life. It's almost 5 months now. He's a happy go lucky, friendly pup. We are training for future adventures. He's doing great!

A month ago today we adopted Harley (aka Cinnamon- left) from Dog Gone Inn. My family and I are so happy that we found her. Thanks to them and all of the hard work that they put in has paid off. Especially for Harley. The amount of time and effort you all put forth is amazing! Thank you for doing so much good and giving pups the opportunity to be excited to have their fur-ever homes. Keeping doing what you are doing! It is not unnoticed! Thank you ? ? ❤️

I would like to thank Leah for making the experience of adopting a pet delightful. She replied to my husband and I in a timely manner & made the whole adoption process enjoyable. She runs an excellent shelter that locates appropriate foster homes for rescue dogs & loves each and every one she takes in. Thank you for allowing us to adopt our beautiful Husky as he has completed our family.
