“I grew up near this grocery, and it was fun to come back to it for a visit over Christmas break. My dad was saying how he always loved their red skin potato salad, so I got him a pound of that and got my mom a 20 pound sack of Carolina rice (which, ironically, seems nowhere to be found around here. Please let me know if it is here in the triad somewhere...anyway, they renovated it recently, and it looks nice and clean like a Whole Foods vibe.”
“I’ve been using Walgreens in Riverhead for just over a year now, and couldn’t be happier. always seem to have issues with my insurance companies, but every time I call, no matter how busy they are, they spend as much time as needed and go the extra step to figure things out so that I can get my prescriptions. The pharmacists, especially Joan, are knowledgeable and patient.”
“The caring, friendly and knowledgeable staff employed at Shirley Pharmacy have been an absolute blessing. I could not ask for a better team of proffesionals to handle my prescription medications for myself and my family. They go above and beyond to assist in anyway they can and in many ways larger chain Pharmacies do not even attempt. They will always be my "go to" as long as I'm in the area without a doubt. “Pharmacy is always a 5 out 5 and treats my family and most importantly ME as a person not a number. Store is always clean and workers smile more than most places. Never a task to go there. Pharmacy rocks. Id recommend just don’t crowd it up when ME is there, mostly”

“Before and after the pandemic I gave this location a 3 to 4 stars. Honestly, since then the CVS in Havenwood has gotten to be the most efficient pharmacy out of all the other locations (even Walgreens). Not sure if I want to advertise this since I dont want them to get too busy like before, but the crew here deserves the praise! Initially, I really disliked the no-answering customer phone calls and dreaded leaving just a voicemail. Seems as if this method was flimsy, too many uncertainties to be anxious about...whether someone would actually listen to the VM and reply back with a phone call...Luckily, I was surprised that the pharmacists did call rather in a prompt manner, usually within 10 to 20 minutes later. I can't vouch for other wait-times but it has been consistent with the assistance I have been given. Seems much better than waiting on hold. The new system so far seems helpful at addressing any concerns that comes up with my meds. The pharmacy has been very helpful and efficient since; I think they may have also hired more people, so that helps alot with customer service (in terms of prescription meds). I think the crew at this CVS location deserves 5 stars now. Thanks Havenwood pharmacy crew! You make my monthly trip better and more convenient! Keep up the good work and service. Hopefully, y'all get a raise!”

“I stopped here today to use the Fed Ex return for a rug I purchased online. My printer was out of ink at home so I asked the gentleman if he could assist. Within minutes he used the picture on my phone of the return label to print out in the store, affixed it to the package & texted me a receipt. His name is Sewdat & I definitely appreciate his technical abilities and promptness in helping me out & saving time. And the whole time he was courteous & happy to help. Walgreens is lucky to have a valuable employee working for them. And for anyone else who is planning on doing a Fed Ex return, it is easier if the seller includes a QR code with the return label in their email. Mine did not have one.”

“Only pose we've used for the 10 years we've lived in the area. Never a problem pertaining to the prescriptions being filled, great communication. Only complaint is when there's more than three or four people on line, it has a tendency to really back up after that. Still a great pharmacy, though. Would recommend.”

“Words can’t describe my gratitude towards Maurice. We thought our daughter, 4, had chicken pox. She had a fever, rash spreading everywhere, and had already been seen by our primary and told nothing to worry about. Maurice suspected it was related to eczema and that she need a derm consult. I wish we had listened to him. A telehealth, urgent care, ER and one provider later we finally ended up admitted into a pediatrics wing in Massachusetts and then when she needed a higher level of care, Weill Cornell. Not one single provider until she was admitted EXCEPT for Maurice, recognized this was systemic and related to eczema. It was a massive infection of staphylococcus, streptococcus and a bunch of other bacteria that got in through her eczema, and then joined forces to take over her entire body in coordination with her eczema. Thank you Maurice. I can’t wait to thank you in person. You did what no other provider in their hubris did, you pointed us in exactly the right direction we were just too stupid to not have listened”

“Updating my last review from the summer 2024. My Tests results took way longer than usual for renal issues. PA finally reached me to explain some staffing issues, causing delays. Appreciated his reach out and explanation. Went again last night for an ecocardiogram hoping results in with my follow-up appt next week. Everyone was super nice and helpful especially the tech doing my test. Particularly strange was the same front desk guy with glasses who completely ignored me 2 times last night because he was the same person from my previous visits who was defiantly not helpful with my tests and was in my past review.”

“I had to go here to this location as they were the only CVS open at the time I needed to get medicine for my sick daughter. Even though they were almost closed, they greeted me and helped, and even wished me. The store was immaculate and it was a quick process Definitely recommend this location”
