Louise has a fabulous selection of yarns, notions and patterns, all reasonably priced. Lots of pattern advice too. Bead and Fiber Fantasy is my go to local yarn shop for a new sweater or sock project, or something less ambitious as well.

So I ventured out of my comfort zone of knit shops and found this charming store. First yarn is tax free in Wayne County. So that pays the gas, but the fun is in their selection of encore yarn, which is my favorite for blankets and hats. They carry lots of colors and variegated styles. There is also a selection of cottons, wool, and more. They have a selection of glass buttons and lots of beading supplies. Louise Smith, the owner was friendly and helpful. Picking yarn on the Web is frustrating. The colors don't seem to hold true as every monitor has a different color way. The shop has an outdoor area they call Serenity Park... to chill and knit. It's about a 40 minute country drive. I'll be back and bring my friends.

Louise is knowledgeable and helpful. If she doesn't have what I need, she makes every effort to get it or let me know where I can get it. Customers become friends with Louise and each other. Super friendly store.
