“Post Offices across the country work hard to make sure packages are received in a timely manner. Our normal Daily Delivery driver has always been very timely and friendly. She is also very thoughtful and handles packages with care. If it is raining out and we have boxes to be delivered she will place the boxes in a thing plastic bag so the package isn’t ruined by the time we get home.
A more recent experience though was with Jeffrey inside the post office. I called there to inquire about some odd changes in tracking info and thought the package may be back at the local office for some reason. He could have brushed me off and said “I don't see it” or “call back if you don't receive it in a few days.” But I could hear the genuine “care” in his voice as he asked me to give a few moments to check something. He came back and told me they were indeed there and I could come and get them or he could still get them delivered.
Customers can be demanding, impatient and down right rude. Especially towards delivery people, counter staff, wait staff, etc.
I appreciate that our local Village Post Office still stands and is staffed with such wonderful people.”

“Really nice postal staff- though I've never met them in person they were so helpful when I inquired about getting my dad's mail delivered to the door ,due to injury at time. They immediately-the very next day they delivered the mail to him and sent the paperwork along to save us a trip . It did help that they know my dad personally - but the fact they didn't hesitate and were so happy to help amazes me. So thank you to everyone at the Fair Haven post office you are a true example of compassion and you're all amazing! Here's to a happy, healthy life to some pretty great people. Thank you so much!!!”
