We are thrilled with our new built-in book cases! The price was right in the middle of our budget range, which no one else could quote for our custom design. We have purchased from Gothic previously - we started with a small, unfinished bookcase years ago, then purchased a bed recently, which we were very happy with - but nothing custom until now. We had a great consultation with Vagelis, who understood right away what we needed (it helped that we had drawings and photos). He was very flexible when we decided on some small changes we wanted to make. The whole process was easy and stress-free. He was also polite and understanding when we called a couple of times to check on the progress of the project.
We had to wait about 5 months because the piece is large, which was a challenge for us because we were so excited about the project, but it arrived on time, and custom installation went unusually smoothly (for anything custom in NYC).
Because they have been around in NYC for decades, they are not surprised or thrown off by the crazy design issues that come up in our old buildings.
The cases are perfect - exactly what we wanted! Minor, fixable issues do not dim our enjoyment of the cases.
I highly recommend Gothic Cabinet Craft for their premade products and for their custom design work! Any time we have had something installed by them, service has been polite and clean. We have never been left with a mess or had an unpleasant experience with the installers. Will add photos soon.

I have been looking online for a wall unit for two years.
No luck.
Then I found out about Gothic Cabinet Craft ...where u can design your own wood furniture. I met with Aris, a great designer and after years of searching I now have just what I wanted.
The craftsmanship is top notch... Worth every penny.

We had a great experience with Gothic Cabinet Craft. They built a custom loft for us that we designed -- with stairs, storage underneath, and a murphy bookcase door. It turned out beautiful and they worked closely with us to get all of the details to our liking. The installation was also great - everyone was very professional and considerate of our home, and they did a great job. We've gotten so many compliments and are so happy with the loft.

I am so completely satisfied with their work. I got a night stand and chest of drawers in Birchwood with the color Espresso. That combination created the most beautiful yet soft black which was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Shout out to Nick in Maspeth for suggesting this color when I described my vision for type of black color I was looking for. Quality furniture and quality job.

I ordered a simple wooden bench on November 1st. I called several times to check on the status of my order. Today (Feb 19) I revived an email that my order was cancelled. I revived no explanation as to why they were unable to fulfill the order. The customer service is awful, and almost 4 months, they cancelled the order.

Furniture pieces are built to last generations! We purchased our kitchen nook in 2014, custom made and stained to match our kitchen. The table has not only served meals, but has been in the center of endless school projects and HW, birthday cakes and celebrations. Just took the seats back to be refinished and stained and it looks exactly as it did when we first purchased it. The service at Gothic can't be matched.

We were very pleased with Gothic Furniture, Maspeth location. We ordered several made to order custom closets and bookcases for our son's bedroom. Steve worked with us from start to finish. We asked for special door handles and to cut off molding from bookcase edges. We live in a building with strict delivery regulations, so we were stressed out about the timing of the delivery. We told Steve we needed a COI (Certificate of Insurance) and delivery M-F, from 9am-3pm. He placed the order for us and we set up a tentative delivery date. We received the COI by email, as promised by Steve, in a few days. To our surprise, our order was even ready a whole month sooner than Steve promised, but we could not change our delivery date because the elevator in our building was out of service, being repaired at that time. The delivery service called us three days ahead of our scheduled delivery date and promised us a morning delivery, which eased our stress about the building not allowing in a late delivery. The delivery arrived bright and early in the morning and the furniture delivery people were careful and polite. The furniture was made exactly as we had specified, looks great, and we are very pleased. We'd definitely recommend Gothic Furniture and I am sure we'll be back again to get more items when we need them.
