“I went in to sell some gold scrap and had a fantastic experience. Mike was incredibly honest and professional; right off the bat, he offered me an excellent payout without me even having to ask for a price first. It’s rare to find that kind of transparency. Highly recommend asking for Mike if you want a fair deal! Only place I’ll go in the future.”
“Have done business with quite a few places and went to them after seeing them on Instagram. Have to say, VERY FAIR, very realistic and honest. If you have authentic legitimate goods and you know the market, this is the best place and best way to go. Consignment and the major resale places are not netting you more money or they are luring you with the promise of more. If you have some EBay fantasy this is not your place, know what you have and know the actual wholesale resale market. This is quick, legit and fair, and that unfortunately is not all that common. This is most likely the new business model as nobody wants to wait 3 months or get less than they were told. Happy we did business with them and we would do it again.”
“I always find something special when I come here!! Truly lovely, curated selection of good quality clothes (really love the diverse sizing) and home ware. Staff is very kind and helpful.”
“The best jean buying experience ever! I didn’t catch my sales associates name, but she was great, and helped me find the perfect pair. It was a really collaborative process, and made shopping fun. If you visit, I 100% recommend doing an appointment as opposed to just browsing. It’s worth the money and a bit of extra time. I will be buying all my jeans here!”
“Life Boutique is such a gem in Park Slope! The best selection by far in the neighborhood. They have a lot to offer and the team is so helpful and accommodating. They helped me find the perfect sunglasses for my Halloween costume by sifting through some backstock. I’ll be back for sure.”
“Fantastic place for gifts many of which are locally made. Violet has something for almost everyone and she and her staff are awesome. Children’s books and cute little cars, candles, soaps, jewelry, kids games, women made products, stuffies, hats, socks, stickers, keychains. My favorite small business to support.”
“There were so many unique and lovely items, and I had so much fun browsing! The prices were also very reasonable, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Shopped here with my vintage clothes loving daughter. She had quite a bit of luck! The store is small but they seemed to have a good selection of things crammed in there. They do have a dressing room. The staff was friendly. We had a fun time here!”
“I went here a couple times, and the staff had always been extremely sweet. They always have unique pieces that go well with everyday wear. I absolutely love this store and all the vibes. It is also VERY affordable, an absolute gem. Will definitely come back every chance I get!!”
“My favorite vintage store in the city. Joshua is absolutely The Man. He negotiates prices, never forgets a face, knows the story of every piece of clothing in the shop. Has interesting events. Half the time I end up hanging out talking with people. And I always leave with something excellent”
“Fantastic shop, would travel from queens to shop here. Friendly staff and wonderful pieces across many price points. The store isn’t big but there are so many beautiful things to see and try!”
“I ordered a few PRL pieces from this shop. It was a first time for me. Everything came ahead of schedule actually and it was exactly what I ordered. But what impressed me fully is I made a mistake in the size of a shirt I ordered. It was supposed to be Medium but I mistakenly hit Small. Well however it happened I was texted and asked to confirm the size...and I had a chance to correct my mistake. That impressed me because other larger places would've just sent a Small and been done with it. Kudos ✊???”
“I got my favorite pair of boots here two years ago, and so I of course had to return for another (tis the season)! The curation is superb, well-priced, well-varied, with a broad selection of vintage pieces from all eras! I always try to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood, but sometimes they close before their listed hours!
Edie is a sweetheart! She helped me in my search for a new pair of boots, encouraging me to collect all the pairs in the store that caught my eye. She even offered insoles as I tried them on, and insisted I take my time walking around in each pair. Edie offered invaluable, honest feedback when I expressed my long-time desperation for a new pair (the pair I adored were a tad too big). I felt seen and understood by her advice! I can't wait to come back - I trust Edie and her partner's curation and collection more than I do any other boutique in the city.”
“Incredibly cute little shop with loads of unique pieces and fun accessories, in a clean and bright space! Bought a really beautiful vintage dress here. Definitely recommend stopping in!”
“Every single item in this shop has so much character!!! From curated second hand items to imported hand made home goods and accessories, I didn’t want to leave! The perfume oils swept me off my feet in particular! I will be back again!!”

“Jane’s Exchange is THE BEST place to find secondhand clothing for kids. From new born to 10yrs old - the shop has an incredible selection all in wonderful condition. The owners are just lovely as well.

“Wry cool little store. Reminds me of old school places like loves saves the day or some of the shops in Tokyo. Definitely go here and buy some shit. You’ll find something for sure and at a good price!”
“Amazing and seriously knowledgeable team of staff who totally get the ride that is the child wardrobe experience. What a great shop, I am so happy Owl Tree Kids exists!”

“I always find things that are unique, often real showstopper outfits and pieces. Love the owner and staff! So kind and welcoming. Be sure to say hi to the adorable little pug that is usually sprawled out like a queen near the back. Highly recommend! All the stars and beyond!

“Found a beautiful silk scarf on sale rack outside for $5 and on walking inside found a lovely space filled with treasures I want to go back and discover. I'll be back & big thankyou. The scarf made my day! I'll be wearing it everywhere.”
“great collective of different vendors, each with their own niche and overall price range. prices are definitely not cheap, but the curation is great; just know what you're buying and what it's generally worth. you can shop for a lot of different occasions here too, which is always helpful!”
“This was my second time popping in the lovely Mr Owen's shop and I was pleasantly surprised to find some treasures! My fiancé and I found his tie for our wedding, a beautiful skinny silk tie of blue and white from the 1950s at a very reasonable price. We also found a second tie gem in a glorious mustard color with tiny fleur de les. Mr Owen's tie collection might be the best kept secret in the city. You have to hunt, but you will find. Mr Owen is a treasure himself and has a wonderful mix of true vintage and thrifted pieces in his shop at very reasonable prices. Take a look, you won't be disappointed with this old New York gem of a store!”
“The place was fabulous and the woman who was in charge was so pleasant and it’s a great place to buy stuff and sell some of your stuff I highly recommend it”
