I went to have a package dropped off, and the women already had a nasty attitude. Rolled her eyes at the first sight of me. I attempted to pull up the window to put my package on the scale like I’ve done a million times before. She asked me to slip it through the small window in front of her instead and was obviously short on patience. Don’t work there if you can’t do basic customer service.

I can see why this is rated 1.90. I gave the forever stamp to the Indian clerk at the window. She asked me to go back to end of line to put them on myself. You know those stamps are that you just need to peel them off and label on the letter. Fine I don’t argue with her as I parked far and paid only 10 mins, and only 1 ahead of me. This is a one person window handling all inquiries post office. You need to already have another post office address to go if this one is not working for you. After all, government jobs filled with employees with this kind of mentality/attitude/speed, good luck

I hope the police will thoroughly investigate this post office. There must be someone on the inside stealing. Most of the comments here are about lost items. I don't believe that without someone on the inside stealing, there would be so many thefts happening so frequently.

I want to share something very troubling that happened to me recently. At this USPS location, a significant amount of money—$7,000 worth of money orders that were meant for my taxes—was stolen. This is a serious situation, and the authorities are currently looking into it. I’m determined to see this through and find the exact individuals responsible for this theft at that facility.
I feel it's important to warn others about this place. Please think twice before sending your packages or money there. I believe that the people working at this location are not to be trusted, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I’m experiencing right now.

This post office is extremely slow and unprofessional. I give in packages sometimes a few times a month for shipping, returns, etc...And my orders are cancelling because they are simply too lazy to scan it. When the employees here work they act like they are doing you a favor. Hello this is the US Postal system, an excellent good paying job with federal benefits, retirement, etc...It sometimes takes a week to scan the box and the tracking number starts moving. You are better off dropping off packages to ship NY on the same block as the Maspeth Public Libray, although its only fed ex and ups, not USPS. Someone should seriously clean up this arrogance and incompetence. Why should I lose time and money because USPS Maspeth post office is too lazy to do their damn job.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this local USPS office. I had an important mail sent to me from Staten Island to Queens, which included tracking and required a signature. The mail took over four weeks to finally show as “arrived” at this post office, after bouncing between facilities for days at a time.
On Tuesday, I called the office to ask if the mail was available for pickup. The supervisor told me she needed to look for it and would call me back once it was located. By Saturday, I still hadn’t received a call, so I went to the post office in person.
The supervisor came out and immediately told me that someone had already picked up the mail. When I asked for details—such as who signed for it, why the system didn’t update, or when it was picked up—she just kept repeating that it was picked up by someone. She then claimed that when I had called on Tuesday, she told me it was ready for pickup. I asked her how she knows someone picked it up she told me that one of her coworker inquired about this mail.
When I pointed out the inconsistencies in her statements, she abruptly changed her story, claiming the mail might still be in the office and she needed more time to look for it. Then she shut her office door on me without providing any resolution. Even the front desk staff appeared to find the situation amusing, laughing as the supervisor contradicted herself repeatedly.
This level of disorganization and unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for important mail that requires a signature. It’s been a nightmare trying to get clear answers or any resolution. I expected much better from USPS and am deeply disappointed in how this was handled.

Do not do business here. I requested a “customer pickup” for my undelivered package and these idiots sent out my package AGAIN, without any consideration for my request. Now I have to wait another week for my package. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Wanted to ship a package and wasn't sure where to put the return address, as i hadn't used this type of packaging before. Was told by the woman at the counter that "wasn't her problem" and i couldn't ship the package.

Not enough workers, they move very slowly. Took me 30 minutes to pick up an envelope!
