I shop at Lidl all the time, and I must first say every customer is not the same in terms of what they purchase. I usually purchase certain waters, fresh fruits and vegetables, certain frozen items, etc just to name a fewBaked goods is a definitely NO NO for me because of what I see other customers do which is darn right disgusting. I saw on different occasions customers using their barehands to handle baked goods (breads, cookies, pastries)I shopped at three different stores locations so far on the Island Freeport my go to store, Massapequa only when in that area and theother in Syosset. The Massapequa location is the worst, from the parking lot to the inside of the store. The lines are always long one register open and staff packing items on the shelves, the fresh produce rotted, wilted, not neatly displayed. There's no customer service, when you need assistance it's almost like they're doing you a favor to assist.Let's talk about the bathroom, where I'm sure staff members uses themselves, it is horrible, if the department of health were to make a visit unannounced and uses the bathroom, Lidl will be shout down. The smell , the walls, the mirror, the list goes on, it is so bad.Management needs to do better.

Best Yet. Produce is Fine. Deli is slow, but the prices are so much better than the competition. They carry a full line of Boars Head deli meats. When buying meats you must use immediately or freeze it or it will go bad. 2 days tops on meat!Update: as Lidl, it's so much better. Love it.Update: Now it's LIDL . Has decent sales. Only the freezer where they keep the chicken freaks me out. Always has a "weird" smell.

Lidl is a great store to shop at. Cheap deals, high quality food and other merchandise. The staff has never been problematic, over bearing , invasive or rude, except for maybe one older male cashier, but he has seemingly improved. I always feel safe coming in and out. Great full to have such as store near my residence.

Disgusting supermarket that always sells rancid expired raw meat. i’ve gotten so much expired meat from here. It’s disgusting and then you return it and get a new one and that one is also rancidDo they just sell garbage meat that other supermarkets throw out? I don’t really understand maybe that’s why their prices are ‘cheap’They call it Lidl’s “suspiciously cheap” because they’re lying to you and it is suspicious that is cheap, probably because it’s all expired, rancid and gross.Pay the extra dollar and go to a supermarket that’s not gonna give you food poisoning.

A barbed something got stuck in my throat while eating vegetables from the store. My son helped me remove it, I wasnt choking but it felt like a pin stuck near my adenoid/tonsil area. Family size mixed vegetables- this store is becoming more limited daily. My throat is killing me. Look at that little barbed thing ?

Lidl is a European style discount grocery much like Aldi and even Trader Joe’s.They don’t have the brands your used to or all the items you may think you need on the grocery list.Shop with an open mind, be will in to try new things and brands. The extensive prepacked deli meats and cheeses is perfect for making a cheese plate on a budget. Best of all, lots of these lidl product have cleaner ingredients than their big brand counterparts. Many are also imported from Italy or Germany?Unlike Aldi the limited but existence of organic produce and free range pasture eggs/Chicken and Grassfed meat/cheese is one of the major factors that keep us coming back.If FOR NO OTHER REASON, the Frozen Pizza selection imported from Italy is a must have in our freezer. Typically I have 3-5 different styles like margarita, fresh tomato arugula goat cheese, mini pizzas 4 of them for $3.50!!The prices can vary a bit, but they are always under 10$ and much better/healthier than many frozen and Pizza Parlor pizzas?.My GripesThe checkout is always hectic. If only the cashiers would keep the belt going so that all the groceries can be self bagged without waiting until their done ringing up than walking around the cashier island to reach and bag your stuff. Very inconvenient and stress inducing. Then they start scanning the other customers items while bagging your own. ?I’m sure that this can be fixed with a lil more common sense/training of the cashiers. But it’s a budget store. Common sense and curtesy is rare these days.

Prices are good, but honestly speaking, your approach at customer service sucks! Everything I'm shopping, I have to change my list because instead of having electric pallet Jack's and skids of product stocked on an overnight shift, you have them doing this during the day, blocking ailes

Prices aren't bad selection limited. Check out is terrible. Typically one register with five people or more online. Better to go the the Freeport/Merrick location bigger selection. FASTER CHECKOUTS Typically 3 registers open at any time.

I walked In yesterday for the first time and I was looking for something and they didn't have it. While I was looking for my item I thought to myself what a dirty messy store. First and last time I will never go there again.
