“What a wonderful store ?
The food is phenomenal! They even have a very specific style of sausage, Chevalatta, that my 94y.o. dad used to get all the time from Corona. It's a specialty and they had it! We got sausage filled with broccoli rabe, regular ring sausage, multiple types of taralli, and ravioli.
But what makes it completely worth driving across the county for me was the customer service! Kind, big smiles all around, just an absolutely delight to go there. I found them on a whim driving somewhere else.
I'll definitely be going back and bringing my Dad so he can reminisce as well as get more amazing food!

“I bought a quarter cow box from them today, I was given a generous bag of Argentinian wild caught shrimp that I promptly thawed and had for lunch in a seafood pasta, the quality was amazing. Thank you for such amazing value on some produce in a time where beef is untouchable in price.”

“I’ve been here numerous times and they never disappoint. Last time I was there I was uncertain of what to get and the Giuseppe behind the counter told me to trust him and go with their cheesesteak. I told him I’d try it and if it was good I’d leave a review so here it is: it was GREAT! Very good, filling, and flavorful. I’ll be in there for lunch again soon. Haven’t had a bad meal there ever. “For the most part, really like this store. However they are a bit pricey The biggest criticism I have is the quality of their produce. Everytime I purchase their lettuce, cucumbers they inevitably go bad WITHIN A WEEK! I do not purchase produce from them anymore! Everything else is ok”

“My 1st time at the store & restaurant. Both are clean & tidy & Halal. Halal meat is always fresh, they cannot sell meat from a sick animal as they carry the burden of sins. Great customer service. The food is delicious, not spicy hot. I had ginger chicken & okra.The butcher cut the meat as I asked. This will be my go to butcher & takeout once I'm at the butcher. Give it a try.”
“They have my business for life!!! Not only is the food wonderful the service is top notch as well. Ordered a cake for my son’s first birthday and the cake got dropped coming into my house. Iavarone took the time to redo the cake to the same beautiful standard and still had to cake ready in time to sing happy birthday. So grateful and will always recommend to people for catering and everyday needs.”

“I am so grateful today I dropped my sunglasses in the Freeport location this morning and I looked but didn’t find it .. I reported to the manager and the staff /cashier .I have been a customer for the past 30years since Compare foods , totally love this store and the staff always helpful . But today after I left ,I just decided to go back at about 3pm and asked if anyone turned them in … wow !!!! “Live poultry dressed to your preference, with a fairly wide choice of pulley variety, right here on the island! Was not crowded when I went on a Saturday afternoon, was in and out in 15 minutes. Came here to buy chicken, left with duck and chicken eggs around with dressed poultry.We have been coming to Safety Swim around the block for many years without being aware of this hidden gem.They do mind taking photographs / videos, but are otherwise polite, professional, efficient.”
