I am a pizza snob, being raised on Brooklyn, Manhattan, homemade pizza, and 2 pizzaoli in the family. I have high standards for a good slice. The ratio of sauce to cheese is a factor, but above all, the dough. The pizza here fell flat for me. It lived up to its name, a plain, cheese slice, no taste, and floppy. For me, a crust has to be crisp and eaten with one hand.

You can tell immediately upon walking in this place that it’s made with love. Real Italian American gentleman behind the counter, this is a quality and family run pizza spot with beautiful food, counter was packed with fresh pies and customer service was top notch. See you soon!

You can feel the family energy in here, sweet young folks working at the front have a decent variety of pizza. The slices are on the heavier side when it comes to the dough so if that's your pizza style this may be your place. They're the only pizza spot I've seen with PEACE TEA from Coca Cola which really hit the spot with my slices. I have to say theyr garlic knots are one of the best ive ever had, it's so light and fluffy and they offer sauce on the side with it which many pizzerias fail to realize is a necessity! 10/10.

Great place with a super friendly environment. The pizza had just the right amount of dough and the cheese was good quality as well. I especially liked one of the counterworkers. She was super accommodating and sweet. Will definitely be returning for great quality food in a welcoming environment.

PAY WITH A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD or potentially be S.O.L. - Problems with food each time we've ordered over these past couple weeks. Called restaurant after picking up our order to let them know there was an issue; each time the employee that fielded my call seemed a tad comically invested + determined in not-addressing such simple fixes. "You've paid for it already," seems like their threshold for willingness to correct a mistake. Hopefully it's not "their" but rather just some knucklehead fumbling of a younger inexperienced person with a noticeable lack for customer service... at least, that's the clear impression that was given by the willingness to correct problems with the food. Even acknowledging there was a problem seemed oddly improbable for the employee to believe.

Found Pappalardo's Pizza Cove in Massapequa, a nook in the cranny in the Island Recreational Pools shopping center across the ;parking lot from Time Flies Ceramics. I went in and ordered a Pie 1.2 onion and 1.2 sausage to go. It had plenty of toppings and was a standard pizza for flavor. Thomas was one of the 2 young men servers behind the counter, who himself has been working there since the age of 16 and now 7 or so years later is still serving. I asked how long the Cove has been here. He noted 51 years come September with the same owners. The owner Mr. Joe a true Pappa and current Grandpappa. All accomplishments to be sure. The décor is homey with a menagerie of many original family and friend pictures along with town support of various groups including but not limited to local Police, Fire and Actors. The latter items of the charming Steve Guttenberg showing the plaque of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in December 2011 and a signed poster of the original Police Academy movie on the wall. I find the menu fairly comprehensive with a build your own pizza section, gluten friendly 10" spot along with Italian and pasta specialty sections .The cost for my pizza was 22 dollars..

Great pizza and heroes in the afternoon when the experienced staff is working. Ok pizza at night when the high school kids take over. And a great owner. Joe Pops is a legend.
