After a very negative experience at a *different* local Red Wing store I came here to start over. The difference was night and day.The other store told me I can't be measured for Iron Rangers and there's no point in measuring me on a Brannock device or the ultimate fit machine because it doesn't apply to the Iron Rangers. I asked several times politely just as a base line measurement before she finally said ok but rolled her eyes at me in front of my little boys. I politely told her I didn't need their help any further.I came in to the Massapequa location and received a friendly greeting and enthusiasm when I mentioned I was there for a pair of IR's. Without asking I was directed by Jasper to the ultimate fit machine and was "walked through" what was being done. The machine was dead on for my Brannock size I've previously measured at. They didn't have my size but I was given other sizes to confirm. They ordered in 2 sizes from the warehouse for me to come back and try and I wasn't pressured to pay up front.Jasper and her coworkers answered all my questions and were very helpful - they made the whole experience pleasant and easy. I was also informed that the fit machine does in fact account for boot model when recommending a size - I also got my fit report emailed to me. I could easily have taken the information they gave me and gone to the Manhattan store and had boots in a day or 2 but because they were so helpful, I think they more than earned my business so I will wait and go back even if it isnt the most convenient for me.Jasper and her coworkers take pride in their work and are an asset to the location.

Stopped in today and had the most pleasurable experience buying a pair of work boots. I was helped by Jessica and it was pleasant from the moment I walked in until I left. The second I walked in I was greeted and immediately directed to the section of boots that fit the requirements that I needed.Jessica also took the time to explain the differences/benefits between the flat sole boots vs traditional arched. Her explanation was helpful as it directed me to buying an arch boot as I spend a lot of time going up and down ladder wells. When asking to try different boots Jessica was happy at every turn to run in the back and grab them. I was originally debating between a pair of the newer flat sole shoe vs the same pair I bought a year prior. During my conversation with Jessica I shared the main reason I was in today was that the soles on my previous pair melted a little bit due to the conditions I was working in. After sharing that Jessica explained the pair I had unfortunately weren't able to be re-soled and returned from the back with what she called a "recommended pair" which turned out to be perfect. They were an upgraded version of the pair I bought prior. Jessica took the time to explain to me the main differences in the boots were that the recommended pair had a temperature rating, puncture protection, and padded heels and toes. The padded heels and toes are great as I'm constantly up and down ladders destroying the front of my boots. With Jessica's help I was guided through my purchase from the moment I walked in and was even willing to purchase a more expensive boot. While checking out Jessica also notified me that she put the American Flag that go in the laces in the box. I really appreciated that as I always forget to ask for those.

I've been a Red Wing customer for years but was never satisfied with the service at the stores. After going to the Massapequa location, Jasper changed that for me. The service Jasper gave was hands down the best of any of the long island stores. Not only was Jasper able to confirm that my shoes could be resoled (after the Westbury branch told me they couldn't and I would have to spend close to 300$ every time I needed new boots). Jasper was friendly, helpful and confident. I purchased a different style boot and foot bed off Jasper's recommendation. I can't suggest this store enough when Jasper is there. The hours are tough though, they close before alot of blue collar workers are even on the road to get home.

Overall I had a nice experience. The new technology to figure out what size was the best for me is great, but was not 100% accurate. I did try on 3 different sizes to assure I had the fit I felt most comfortable with. The store sales person was very patient and explained everything in detail, which I appreciated. Unfortunately I didn’t get the boot I went in for, but walked out with a different style that I liked.

The shopping experience in your Massapequa store was excellent. I am sorry that I did not get the sales person's name. She was everything a sales rep should be with a customer.

Boots aren't what they used to be. Got 6 months out of a pair of boots that had the eyelets pulled out, stitching coming apart, and the inside of the ankle came apart. They sent the boots out to he repaired and all they did was fix the eye lit and said theres nothing they can do but patch the inside for $90 after the boots had already come back from repair. Extremely dissapointed that a $300 pair of boots can't hold up for longer then 6 months in a very mild work environment. Store doesnt back their products so why spend the money on the boots. Go with a different brand or atleast a different store.

Lets start off by saying I’m a loyal customer. I’ve bought 3 pair of boots and always have been satisfied with the product. Today Jan. 6 I call the store multiply times and no answer. So I took it upon myself to reach the store before the closing time which is currently 6 pm. I get there at 5:53pm to know that the store is closed. This is unacceptable!!!
