Everything about this place was amazing. The building is modern but with a rustic feel. It is spacious and well decorated. The room we stayed in was large and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the mini-golf game in the main room. A good selection of board games are available for people to play. And breakfast was delicious. David made us bacon and eggs, toast, and the best potato pancakes I've ever had. David and Donna were very friendly and we enjoyed morning conversation over coffee. I wish we had more time to explore the vineyard and surrounding grounds. Next time, there will be a next time, we will stay longer.Thanks David and Donna for a marvelous stay.

Wonderful experience!! Dave was a great host and went above and beyond to accommodate us! The location is very peaceful and is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and farms. Rooms were cozy and very clean. Dave provided an amazing breakfast, fresh juices and coffee for us in the morning. We will be back and highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Perfect 5 stars across the board! The location was perfect, the rooms were immaculate, and Dave was an incredible host! The location couldn't have been better, situated at the heart of wine country and right next to local farms, vineyards, and apple orchards. There are countless activities nearby, including wine tastings, farm animals, pumpkin and apple picking, and much more. We walked through the vineyard each morning with our coffee and watched the horses run around next door. The spacious common area provided a plethora of entertainment options for the whole family, such as a billiard table, games, televisions, and a comfortable relaxation area. Additionally, they had a 24-hour coffee station and served a delicious two-course breakfast every morning. I will be recommending Cedar House to all my friends and family. We will definitely be back!

David and his family are amazing hosts. A charming breakfast with amazingly delicious egg Benedict in the morning along with other goodies. The rooms have a beautiful ambience. Parking passes are available for beaches in the neighborhood hence this place at Nassau Point which David recommended and I found it a breathtaking place to visit.

We have been coming to the Cedar House every year (minus one year of COVID) since 2012. It is nothing short of amazing, hence why we keep coming back. Dave and Donna truly make you feel like part of the family and not just guests at an inn. The breakfasts, the stories that comes along with them, and their hospitality are first class. This place is great! I regret waiting so long to stay there. We drove past it all the time. So unlike most of the B&B's you've probably stayed out. For me, it was the first time I wasn't 100% sure the owners weren't actually ghosts (the friendly kind). haha! Dave and Donna are super cool and everything about the house conveys their vibe, while also being clean, and modern, and premium all around. - Great choice if you're planning to spend a day or a few on the north fork.

Wow! My husband and I just had the most wonderful weekend at Cedar House on the Sound. The property, the hosts and the experience exceeded our expectations. The B&B was cozy, clean and welcoming. Dave and Donna are talented hosts, not missing any detail. They were kind, friendly and gave us great tips to make our stay the most memorable weekend. We cannot wait to go back!

Phenomenal experience. Not only was this place immaculate but the hosts Dave and Donna were amazing. They are so personable and down to earth. They truly made the experience what is was, outstanding. The atmosphere is truly inviting. It felt like home away from home. I could stay there forever. When we arrived we had no idea where to start as far as things to do in the area. Dave helped us make our reservations and we had a blasts at all our activities outside of the home.The restaurants had great food but Dave's breakfast was my favorite. Our stay was perfect from the moment we entered the door and were greeted by our hosts to the very end when we said goodbye. I have a hard time relaxing but I was so at ease here. We are definitely coming back. We plan to be regulars.

Dave Donna and the whole staff were extraordinarily kind. The entire trip was beyond 5 stars! Immaculate, pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was a 5 +Star experience with the most incredible foods. From coffee to juices to fruits to the main breakfast course. They did not miss one thing. This is a hidden gem. We plan on coming back in the Fall and making this our yearly familygetaway from herein. There are not enough words to say how thankful we are to everyone for all they did to make us more than welcomed. ❤️❤️

I’ll start by stating that there was nothing we did not love about our stay at Cedar House on Sound.My wife and I had been wanting to make a visit to Long Island, NY… a place where we had never been before. The wine region of the north fork seemed like a great place for a first visit. After reviewing places on Google and TripAdvisor for a special B&B, we came across Cedar House On Sound, which could accommodate the friends and family that would be joining us. The reviews were all great so we booked it…and I’m glad we did.Just like many of the reviews before this one, this place is great!The property and house itself were much larger than we had expected. The property is nestled in between a small vineyard and a equestrian farm (beautiful). The home has five guest rooms (with a full bath in each), a very large great room (pool table, games, tv, seating area, enough for a large group to be very comfortable), a bar area & dining area (12 or more people fit comfortably there) and a huge breakfast/kitchen area (large enough to accommodate all guests and the owners family).As many of the reviews before this one, the owners of this place are truly great. They take their wonderful home and allow you to make it feel like it’s your own home while you are there. They live on site but have their own private residence upstairs. They are accommodating but not intrusive, they made sure we had everything we needed but allowed us to enjoy their B&B as if it were our own.Then there is the breakfasts…Dave, owner of Cedar House with his wife Donna, cooked us an extraordinary breakfast every morning. 5 star quality breakfast with great music playing in the background, served with great enthusiasm and care…better than most restaurants. Delicious!Dave got the fire pit going every night we were there along with s’mores to enjoy. Donna checked in to make sure all guests were satisfied at all times. Again, as stated before, the owners are great and they definitely know what they are doing. Their welcoming presence made our trip even more wonderful than we had imagined it would be. They are the concierge of everything in the North Fork area. The wineries and restaurants we visited were recommended by them and none of them disappointed.I’ll stop rambling. If you’re going to visit the North Fork area, then this is the place you want to stay. I’m extremely looking forward to our next visit, next year.Thanks for the great memories.
