The ATM is broken a lot. Which forces you to go elsewhere, and then they hit you with a lot of non-Trustco fees. This been happening for years.

Waited 15 min in drive thru for no one to even say ill be right with u drove around to go in waited another 15 min for only 3 people working one sitting at a desk doesn't even ex knowledge me. Ignoring customers on top of constantly making mistakes with accounts. Definitely taking my money elsewhere. Obviously have proven they cant keep up with the big banks. But by far the mechanicville location is rhe worsed i have seen

We opened a checking account here over a year ago with Mark the Branch Manager. We have had many questions and Mark was able to help us with all of them. Recently, we opened a CD with Mark as well.

Never bank with trustco. Want to deposit your PAYROLL check!? Try again. They won't deposit it until 5 days later. I deposited my first payroll check at my new job which was paper normally it's direct deposit on a Thursday. It's not available at all until Tuesday. Want to have some funds released to you on your payroll check? Nope not happening. Want quick, kind and convienet service? Nope not here. Bank with a bank that cares about the clients, which to sum it up, is NOT Trustco.

I have noticed in the past 3 years ( i have been a customer since the branch opened, and longer at other branches) or so a steady decline in the quality of the staff at this branch. The manager (Josh? Joel? Jeff?)seems to be quite pleased with himself, and in the course of a single conversation being asked questions about the new account charges replacing free checking, managed the hat trick of giving me wrong information, being oh-so-politely disrespectful, and basically telling me that if I felt the need to go elsewhere to bank, feel free. Katie, a teller, was rude to the point of attempting to refuse a deposit into a checking account that I have had for 25 years, and that carries a 5 figure balance. I realize that a small account like that makes no difference to Trustco, or any other bank, but it is a nice touch not to make the customer aware of how little importance his business has to the bank. She ought to learn that there are ways of educating customers about bank policies that do not involve the customer driving away wondering why he continues to bank at Trustco.
