Monte Alban Inc. is a friendly Mexican grocery and clothing store offering an authentic experience. The store has a nice selection of staples and a little bit of everything, including many different kinds of authentic Mexican food. It carries dried goods, baked goods, spices, fresh produce, and snacks. The coolers and freezers are filled with authentic Mexican meats, cheeses, and pre-made tortillas, along with various sodas, juices, and beers. The store also offers Mexican name brand items like soaps and candies, plus dressy cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and other clothing. Additional services include check cashing and money transferring. Parked outside, a taco truck provides what may be the most authentic taco experience in the area, open on weekends from mid-May to mid-October. The truck offers single tacos in steak, chicken, carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor, or an order of one of each. Tacos come with tons of meat, diced onion, cilantro, lime wedges, pickled onion, and available sauces. The food is consistently great with killer authentic flavor. Fresh tamales are also highly recommended when available. Staff is very nice, friendly, and service is good. There are a few outdoor tables and some indoors within the store.
lil pricy on some stuff but to be expected with some of the products as they have to travel to get here. really loved the stuff I missed from back home in Cali tho. all worth the drive and money!
