Horrible customer service! We leased a large format printer for our office about 7 months ago and have been trying the whole time to get someone to give us some instruction in how to use it properly. We still can't get it to do what we want, and nobody will get back to us when we reach out looking for help. We have a very large, very expensive and very useless piece of electronic waste in our office. Canon should be ashamed.

Canon sold me a defective ink cartridge and when I tried to get help, all I got was the runaround for 2 days. On the first day, I got passed around multiple times and put on long holds. On the second day, the first person I spoke with put me on a long hold and transferred me to someone else who said company policy doesn't allow them to replace ink cartridges after they've been opened. I said, "How was I supposed to know it was defective until I opened it and tried to use it?" She didn't have an answer for me and she couldn't understand why I was angry. She put me on hold for about 10 minutes and then told me she would transfer me to tech support. I waited on hold for about 20 more minutes. When a rep finally picked up the phone, it was someone overseas who was difficult to understand. All this over a defective ink cartridge. I'm never buying another Canon product again.

Finally a solution I can live with - I have been on the colored inkjet printer merry go round for years you buy a bargain basement printer inkjet printer whether or not you need to print color the majority of the time and the cartridges dry out from lack of use or the "magenta" cartridge runs out and the printer won't work unless you buy more high gross replacement cartridges (usually after your second round of refills you could of purchased a new printer for less than the price of ink). My home office was beginning to look like a graveyard of old inkjet printers and I finally decided to stop the madness.I rarely need to print color for business so after doing some research I pulled the trigger on this Canon imageCLASS MF455dw - All in One, Wireless, Mobile-Ready Duplex Laser Printer.Prints up to 40 ppm the MF455dw Product comes with everything you need to get up and running, Canon Genuine Toner 057 Standard (3,100 Page Yield, ISO / IEC Standard), Power Cord, Telephone Cable, Starter Guide, User Software DVD-ROM, Warranty CardPrints up to 8.5" x 14".900-sheet maximum paper capacity.Three-year limited warranty standard.Optional Toner Cartridge Toner 057 H (10,000 Page Yield)Why Canon / Why Not Canon - I've just about owned all the major brands and multiples of some brands so I don't want to hear about HP or Brother or the knock-offs I can't pronounce. I guess it's not so much the brand as it is the type. No more dried out inkjet cartridges in fact the ink for this baby is dry actually it's a powder, the ink technology warms and liquifies the ink powder on demand so for once dried out ink is a good thing and I can print up to (20) reams of paper before replacing the toner cartridge, do the math. Why would I settle for black ink only printing, it's simple I don't need to print color it's a waste and not a good environment decision. I like color documents and I still need to see all the pretty colors I just use other technology to accomplish that but go old school when printing something I want to read and write on otherwise I use other solutions:Photos - unless you have a 100K Photo Printer you shouldn't print pics send them off and get them printed and framed or save it to you device and text them if you want to share.Documents- PDF them edit / electronic sign and email the colorized version, proof read in black and white.Document Share - Scan them in full color and save to a folder for editing later in full color.Publishing - there's an app for that and no printing required So why are we using so much colored ink, I have no idea but the manufacturers do - it's all about the money personally I prefer to keep as much as I can because I have my own agenda and could care less about their causes. This is a great product and competitively priced...

I recently bought a new Canon printer because my old one had been so good. Now when I call for support after not finding the information in the user manual or online, I get a loop on the message that goes nowhere and is a complete runaround. I finally figured out that the only way to get to a person is to call sales and get transferred. That worked well the first time, but now when I call with another issue, I get transferred to a person who transfers me to a message that says I can't get support even though I am told by the original operators that I qualify. I call again and get people who say they can help, then get transferred to Zombieland again. This has happened six times in a row. I got Chris who said there is a problem with the system, then had a problem writing a ticket to correct the problem. He said he would get me someone for sure, and that someone turned out to be the same message saying I didn't qualify for support. I am therefore unable to use an important function on my printer. This is such a nightmarishly dysfunctional system, I can only conclude Canon wants to drive away customers. I warn anyone thinking of purchasing a Canon product to run away as fast as you can.

It took 1-1/2 hours to finally get to a tech support person to assist with my canon G3200 pixma printer. The support person took 5 minutes to go through the same steps I had already performed from my user manual at which point she informed me my printer had "gone the way of the do-do bird". I ask her if she would make a recommendation for a good canon replacement printer to which she advised she is not authorized to do. She then referred me to canon's "upgrade department" where I would get 10% discount and free shipping so I called. The support person at upgrades recommended a $300 printer including features I don't need; this after i explained my use is very basic and occasional. I then did some research on my own and called back the "upgrade dept." and ask what they could do on a different printer found on Amazon for $199 and free shipping. The upgrade dept. only had the model I requested in an open box printer for $209. The support people were not knowledgeable nor helpful in either case. So I spent over 2 hours basically to find out I just need to go shop for a new one!

My canon camera service through the canon warranty and carepak have been unacceptable . And , even though they replaced the camera I sent in just for cleaning with a defective refurbished one, they will not let me cancel their “carepak”- so I have a worthless warranty and they have the defective one back— with repeated promises that I will have another refurbished.. in June, they hope. Buyer beware!A quick edit to say that Canon has sent me a replacement camera. Priority delivery with tracking! Thank you-

This eight month old printer Canon TS 9521C has already been replaced and its replacement is having further technical issues. I have not been able to print due to persistent unreliability. Canon wants to send me yet another printer which I would have to install, but I have a leg issue that I'm dealing with -- been on the phone waiting for tech support again for about three hours. Please don't buy this printer. It's ill produced. There's no tech support. Tech hung up on me after telling me my relatively new printer would have to again be replaced. What awful people. I'm really frustrated. I should get my money back and a working printer.

I have been using Canon camera product for decades. Lenses, cameras and accessories. In the past few years I have sent in equipment for repairs. On the first repair upon receiving the equipment back I noticed something odd. It appeared one of the pieces I had repaired a major piece for the repair was used not brand new. Having a used piece at the full price for repair brought me to have a conversation with Canon. They were apologetic and said if I wanted to I could send it back and they additionally credited me the repair costs. This 2nd time paying full price again on a different piece of equipment and once again when I received the repair back and it didn't function correctly. I contacted Canon. No apology was given. Only if I wanted to I could send back the piece they would fix it. Again. The pieces both times were lenses. When we send in a lens for repair work we rent the same lens during the repair. This runs into hundreds of dollars each time. Put shipping and insurance on sending in a lens for repair and it runs a total cost over $700.00 dollars each time for repair, shipping, insurance and rental of a lens. So I truly have doubts about going through this with Canon a third time and not getting the work done by Canon.

I bought a Canon Pixma 3620 an could not, after two weeks of diligent trying Bluetooth and cable, get it communicating with my new Mac Mini. Finally called customer service, and ended up in a big scam, they spent 1+ hour of super-fast talking, flipping around inside my computer and diagnosed big "IP address" problems, which I learn from my tech support guy is a classic scam ending with "must do fix"" by "Level 7 technician!!" for $200-$500 for their technician to repair. I guess they did something in there because what they were trying was for blue tooth (which still doesn't work!) but today I just plugged in the internet cable and it all worked. I opted out when they talked about all the charges and emergencies, glad I checked it out. Just awful customer experience experience, I won't ever buy Canon again.

Don't buy through Canon.com unless it's your only option. In Stock products take between 1-25 days to ship. No communication and impossible to cancel orders. Kind of a pain.

I just got off the phone with customer support for my new Eos R6 camera. I was given exceptional help due to an agent who was very experienced and really knew his product. He walked me through the method to update the software in my new camera. He stayed with me through the entire process to the point I knew it was going to work and told him I was happy and let him go to help others. He knew a method that was not in the documentation to complete this update. Quick and effective . Thanks to him I will be back taking photos today.

Good Cameras, atrocious service. I bought a camera in Feb and only belated realized it was the wrong model. Should be easy to fix right? Well turns out you can't submit an order for return online, you need to call in. Estimated call wait time? 75+ minutes. I only managed to get in by waiting for the moment they open (at 11 freaking am) and called in on the dot. So got my return authorization number, sent the package back unopened, and waiting for my refund. Tracking says it was delivered 5 days ago. As of now their "live chat" took 30 minutes to find me an operator from being in queue position 1, only to tell me they can't do squat and everything needs to be done over the phone. If you get a canon product you better hope it doesn't break because otherwise you are S.O.L. trying to get someone to help you
