Great service, super friendly! Laughing at the bad reviews. I have left other banks to come here!! They are phenomenal.

If you are coming to Canandaigua Bank instead of a large nationwide bank because you appreciate the community aspect of a bank I would find another option or just open an account with a big bank. The communal aspect of this community bank is terrible. Apparently the $16,695,000 of non-interest income they reported in 2017 wasn't enough so they felt vitiating a 21 year old college student with overdraft charges would be the best way to improve on them. The lack of communication and unwillingness to help is very discouraging and does not give the impression they are here to help, rather, to take advantage of customers.

Purchased a used car and this bank ended up financing the loan. I kept the account in perfect standing for years. Then I was in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. I thought my insurance company was going to pay off the loan, and I would owe my deductible to my insurance company. Well, my insurance company payed off the loan, minus the deductible...so that apparently I owe my insurance deductible to the bank. That would have been fine, except that no one told me! So this bank waits until I'm more than 30 days overdue on my loan payment to call me and see what was going on. As soon as I became aware of the situation, I immediately made payment in full and satisfied the loan. Despite these very unusual circumstances, and despite my immediately taking care of the issue, CNB refuses to remove the late payment listing from my otherwise perfect credit report. Will never do business with CNB again.
