I love Chicos and have been shopping with them for over 15 years My virtual closet with them is stuffed to the rim. I love the intimacy of there stores and how they match items together. This stylist at this store are very helpful. If you are looking for something, everybody who is not busy with a customer will try to help you. Thank you Merrick for making my shopping experience a pleasant one!

I must admit I am a longtime Chico’s shopper. Lately I have been shopping at the Merrick shop because initially I drove my husband to se a physical therapist at the near by building and I had time to kill . Invariably I found something to get most of the time especially because I find Chico sizing to be uniform. Now however I too have needed to go .The staff was kind in that they allowed me to bring my small dog on a leash into the store but that was the extent of their service- yes they asked can I help you and since I’m an independent type usually said thanks - I’m browsing.But the follow up assistance was non existent.I thought it was perhaps me in that I did something to get this response on a consistent basis until today when I read the comments that others posted.I was there yesterday and looking for something I saw on line the grey haired manager/sales person showed me one of them but when I explained that the color and print was not what I wanted- that was the end of that- until later my wandering lead me to find the exact color and size elsewhere in the shop with no thanks to this salesperson.I did see a red sweater and in response to my question was told it did come in other colors- she said oh there’s none out I’ll look in the back while you try this onShe put my things in a dressing room which I later found out that someone else was using and then never came back to follow up on the search for the other color!!! I had to flag down another associate to get the slightest help.When I was checking out she saw me and said ; oh you were successful- I politely just said yes but I wished I had added no thanks to you!I find their inconsiderate behavior remarkable especially now when brick and mortar stores are at so much risk.Well now I know that it’s not me but business as usual for this sales team and that the. Problem starts at the top !

I used to love shopping at Chicos in Merrick. The last few times I've been to this store I found some of the salespeople to be rude and unfriendly. Asking to try clothes on or returning something seems to be an annoyance. I really like some of their clothes, but next time I'll try Garden City or even Bayside.

Awful service. Saleswomen noted my mother was hispanic and did not let her use the dressing room and lied about closing time. They were wonderful and kind to the other customers but made every effort possible to have us leave.

The girls who work at this store are extremely rude, especially the saleswoman, Elise and the manager. At this time, with everything that’s going on in the world, having a smile on your face and treating customers with respect is the least these ladies could do. But no, not here. Does yourself a favor.. Don’t shop at Chico’s in Merrick.

Nice clothing selection that is trendy but also age appropriate. I always feel very comfortable coming in to shop. Its nice to have a local option that doesn't feature belly shirts and skin tight pants.
