After spending over $300.00 on merchandise cashier refused to give me a bag free of charge. Insisted on charging me 5 cents. As a matter of principal I declined. How can a merchant expect to sell products but refuse to give a bag or box or help a customer to the car? As I struggled to my car with a handful of clothes, I just felt so taken advantage of. Should I also sweep on my way out? This is no longer acceptable to me and I will no longer shop at this business until they change this ridiculous rule. Not sure how it makes sense to lose a customer like me over a 5 cents. As per Google, Gap claims to have 183 million customers in 2020. 183 million x 0.5 cents = $9,150,000.00. 2024 4th Quarter sales reaches 4.1 Billion. They can afford to give a dedicated customer who spends hundreds of dollars a bag. I’m done.

I had the opportunity to have rare wonderful experience shopping. I took my wife for her birthday to the Gap on merrick rd. In merrick. We we're treated so professionally and kind by a young lady named Cynthia who i later found out was the store manger. She was so busy with inventory but still made it an amazing experience. Great leadership skills. Gap thank you .

Best Gap by far. Especially that now everything is GAP Factory and the apparel is not the same. Merrick location always fully stocked and very organized.

Very bad experience, go for exchange and the girl saying that item is for gap factory, literally she said we don’t sell that item here , I show her the receipt and she said ohhh is in that table , I’m confused, probably because I’m Hispanic 🤔

I like the store. Everything is easy to find but it takes way too long to checkout clothes because the conversation with the cashier is entirely too long.

This store is so nicely organized it’s very clean inside, the bathrooms are sparkling not to mention the staff, a lady named Dimitra checked me & my husband out at the register and she is was super nice to us & so helpful, She knew all the details about online and in-store shopping sales. Thanks to her we ended up buying more clothes, she’s is an amazing sales assistant. She even offered me a GAP CC. Also the girl on the floor name Alyssa was very helpful we noticed her keeping everything clean, she also helped us with bagging our clothes. You can tell these ladies love and care about the store and the customers. I’ve been shopping here for years and my only complaint is the fact that the store is a little small. Nevertheless I live in the area so I love it here because it’s really convenient to have a GAP store in the same town. Awesome store grate staff, love this place!
