Huge, well stocked store. It is similar to a Marshall’s or a TJ Max, except it is much nearer a meter and better organized. Lots of wide aisles and well stocked shelves. Checkout is very quick, even during Christmas week. Large selection of merchandise. Attractive displays throughout the store.

Need to return an item that made me sick taste like mold and old taste the manager was VERY RUDE not profesional at all she screamed at me saying that i can't not return it saying that I have to put in the garbage mean while i got sick ans other placea like supermarkets that have a very profesional managers at least they giving uou store credit. She shouldn't be a manager with that kind of screamed did to me and attitude . I won't put my feet there to buy anything in that store

I had a return and the cashier told me she was gonna ask her manager, to which she apparently said no bc it was from July. It had just turned august.. it’s been 12 days. They have a 30 day return policy. She accused me of not having a receipt, even after I showed her that I had it physically and on my email. I asked to explain this to the manager to which I was told “you can go find her yourself” while carrying a bulky heavy item, and when I finally found her, the manager on duty was even worse and more rude herself. I would not recommend that you shop here if you plan on making any returns or being treated like a human.

Purchased a pet gate from this location two weeks ago and after opening it for the first time two nights ago, the wood split. Went to return the gate next day and was treated very poorly by staff. The woman working the register was extremely rude. I asked if the item could be returned and she rolled her eyes and told me to go find the manager myself after refusing to simply call her to the register herself. Went to look for the manager and was met with even more unnecessary attitude. Asked the manager if there was any possibility to make a return and was told the item was purchased too long ago, even though there is a 30 day return policy and it was purchased two weeks prior as shown on the receipt provided. The manager, Leanna, refused to come to the front to assist with the issue and acted unprofessionally. Took the item to the Rockville Center location the following day and was able to return the item immediately with the help of friendly staff. I would recommend choosing another location on your next trip to Homegoods.

The manager on Duty was extremely rude. I went into buy an area rug. After looking through the rugs, I had some questions about the imperfections on a particular one. The manager came by and immediately dismissed me stating "this is new merchandise and there will be no markdowns" then he proceeded to walk away. The rug was not even priced and no where did I even ask or mention a mark down. Following, I went to the Homegoods in westbury. I was helped immediately and was treated like a human being. The rep offered me a store card to save 10% off my order, answered all of my questions and brought the rug out to my vehicle. For a better customer experience, I suggest visiting the Westbury store rather than Merrick Store; especially if this awful rude manager is on duty.
