“I wanted to recognize Kelsey, the Assistant Deli Manager at Tops, for going above and beyond for me today.

I was looking for a mixed fried chicken pack with both white and dark meat. I could see chicken being prepared, but it was only dark meat. When I asked about a mixed pack, the gentleman working told me, “Sorry, we don’t have any.”

Kelsey could have easily left it at that, but she didn’t. Despite already juggling several other things, she took the extra couple of minutes to check the freezer, found the chicken, quickly breaded it, and got it into the fryer. She was able to make me two mixed packs with white meat and even prepared additional chicken for the shelf so other customers who wanted a mix would have that option too.

It was such a small amount of extra time, but the effort and follow-through made a huge difference. That is what great customer service looks like and how you keep customers coming back.

I made sure to let the store manager on site know about my experience, but I also wanted to share it here in hopes that other store leadership and corporate management see it as well. Kelsey deserves to be recognized for her initiative, work ethic, and customer service.
