I would highly recommend this business for all fireplace/chimney needs.I purchased a new pellet stove and the saleswoman was patient, kind and friendly! She helped me make the best choice and didn’t try to oversell me anything!The install was amazing!You won’t find a better business. Like with all fireplace businesses, there obviously will be a wait, so try to plan a month ahead.A business with a wait time is a GOOD SIGN! It means they’re trusted by many!This is the only place to go, as far as I’m concerned.

Went in for a glass replacement on my jotul, everyone is so friendly and helpful, they patiently guided me through finding the serial number on the stove for proper replacement info. The work is outstanding, quick turnaround time, went above and beyond by restoring the whole door to its original luster. I can’t thank you all enough, I am thoroughly enjoying some cozy fires in this brisk Fall weather. You’re the best!

….I’ve read all of the previous reviews and can’t say I disagree with both the positive and negative reviews as I can see from my experience both. I waited three weeks after the stove installation to write this:1. We love the stove we decided on for our 1100 sq ft cabin- the Hearthstone Shelburne.2. Installation was both professional, courteous, and quick… 2.5 hrs and they were gone.3. Wish they were more hands on for the price they charged $7k… they don’t seem to realize that for someone buying a stove for the 1st time putting things in their contract that fall on your shoulder requires some hand holding.4. Did not try to upsell me on any potential add on’s.5. David Conrad MHS who does the installation is an independent 3rd party… I wrote a separate check to him…. Would have been nice if I was advised of this…6. In the end I have no complaints with the stove…. Like with anything else, shop around, get word of mouth referrals and come to your own decision…

The people who own the business and work at the store are very nice. My complaint is that I purchased a Jotul gas fireplce in 2015 that has to be serviced almost every year. I don’t mind paying a yearly serivce fee but because they only have one technician you have to wait 6 – 8 weeks for an appointment. This has been their standard message since I purchased the unit. Its pretty scarey to think what will happen if that one technician was no longer working for the company. (I have reached out to other bussinesses, but they don’t service that brand.) Before you buy anything from Chimney Sweep I recommend you ask about their abilty to service whatever item you are thinking of purchasing.

I'm very happy with my purchase of a Harman pellet stove through Chimney Sweep. It was a bit pricey, but the stoves are top of the line, longer lasting, with built-in features around safety issues. The saleslady was thorough and patient, even with my pickiness about the hearthstone color. I also liked that they were up front and communicative, especially about the wait time (as the products are in high demand). I'm not a texter and also got a prompt reply to email with questions. Someone came out to the house in good time to take measurements based on the odd structure of the historic house. Although his assistant was very cordial and friendly, I would have given 5 stars if the young man had been less bossy, which I did not appreciate, particularly in my own home. (I'm guessing he would've been less curt to a male customer.) To be fair, he is an outside hire, not directly employed by Chimney Sweep, so that doesn't reflect on them as much. They also promptly emailed me a receipt and explained the rebate process.

Great customer service is truly caring about your customers. We ordered a woodstove and pipes for the chimney. I was working with a sales person. She gave us a lead time for the pipe install. That day came and went, but no one called to say they would be late by over two months. We had to call them. Then we were told the stove & piping would come together and be installed together...again the pipe guy came out without the stove. He installed the pipe and it was over twice the cost we were told it might be ($2900 more), but he did do a great job. When we called about when the stove will arrive they didn't know and said they would call us back. Days came and went... Finally our sales lady called us back and said it might be in a few months. When we complained that no one let us know and why no one told us? she said other people are much more understanding and we were basically bad and not nice customers! Then she laughed at our house situation.. so the pipe guy must have told talked to her behind our backs! She cared little that we really needed the stove for heat and we are now at the end of December...SO If you don't care about Honesty, Integrity, or when your stove will arrive or how much it will really cost- then this place it for you. But if your interested in a sales team that really cares about you then I would go elsewhere. It's not about the break in the supply chain...it's about a break in the sales team that should be communicating with their customers. When your spending over 10K for a product then the sales team needs to really up their game and get proper sales training.. not snub & belittle their customers.

Stopped in to look at fireplace inserts, no one there seemed to want to speak to us. After speaking to the guy there it seems as if they do not need anymore business.

Purchased a ton of pellet fuel. John was great. I live in the area so he used his forklift and dropped it right in front of my garage. No waiting 3 weeks on a home center delivery of second rate fuel.

Unfortunately we cannot apply zero star, otherwise this would be what best represents this business.We purchased a pellet stove insert a year ago and 3 months ago decided to have the same company do a annual cleaning. We were greeted by the same unfriendly woman who previously sold us the stove, that promptly told us that we had to be placed on a waiting list for this service. Not a problem whatsoever on our end. The aggressive same woman then decided to ask us to provide a phone number so that we would be contacted for the service and then turned around to tell us to make sure that our voice message was not full as if we were in kindergarten! The audacity, lack of education and prejudice attitude of this woman is beyond belief.Just 2 more things to add, number one it is the end of December and no one contacted us to clean the stove. Number 2 she recited to us a entire conversation we had on the phone a year prior word for word. She probably thought she was being smart and savvy but it felt more like the east European police during the cold War and she does that to defend herself in case she needs it.We so regret to have given them our business.
