Traveling to the area during the holidays to see family I developed a bad wheel bearing. I called Elliots and they told me "Bring it in, we'll get you back on the road ASAP" Don the owner personally greeted me and had the bearing replaced in a few hours along with rewelding a floorboard bracket that had broken. My car drives like new. Trust Elliott Automotive to get the job done quickly and at a reasonable price.

Elliott’s has completed a couple of repairs on my husband’s car after we received a recommendation to try them out from a friend. Our experience has been great to date. Prices seem very competitive if not better than average and the work is completed quickly. If you are looking for a reliable place you can trust I would suggest Elliott’s as a place to check out.

We lease a 2016 Toyota 4Runner. It has 27k Miles. Wife had the TPM warning light go off. She popped in to Mavis in Florida NY and have them check the tire they filled it and checked all 4 and topped off as well. They then tell her shocks and struts are bad and that is causing uneven wear and it would be about $1000 and possibly 4 new tires at $200 apiece. Wife calls me upset and tells me to call the manager Robert. I do some research online and struts shocks don't go till 80-100k miles and we're not doing off-roading here. I call him and ask how can they possibly be bad? He says "not bad, weak" . I see from several online reviews this is a common upsell reason and tell my wife to take it to our old trustworthy mechanic, Donny at Elliots's Automotive in Middletown he graciously fits us in and after getting it on the lift he laughs and says rotate your tires on your next oil change. Lesson of the day...Mavis lost a customer for good and a trustworthy mechanic is worth their weight in gold.

A good, honest mechanic is hard to find so I am glad I found Elliot's.

I have had a terrible experience with this business. They damaged my car to the amount of $$1400 when trying to replace a water pump. The replaced the pump AFTER installing a defective thermostat that caused the pump to fail. They did not know how to properly install the water pump and in doing so caused the automatic timing chain tensioner to go to it's maximum tension thus damaging the timing chain. The mechanic bragged about how hard it was to get the water pump out. And that he had to fabricate a special tool to do so. At this point in changing the water pump, the damage had been done to the car. they used cheap replacement parts and said they hoped that the noise would go away. They could have been ethical and said they did not have the proper tool and advised me to take it to the dealer- but they did not. It took an authorized dealer 3 days to repair the damage they did to the car.
