I came to Lids today just to pick up a gift card, and once again, the store was closed because the only staff member was on lunch. It really doesn’t make sense to have just one person working, even if the store isn’t busy—there should be overlapping shifts so customers aren’t left waiting. The sign said he’d be back at 4:35.
Honestly, this is really inconvenient, and it’s not the first time I’ve had a negative experience here. Every time I come in, the employee seems unhappy, like helping customers is a burden. My son, who actually shops here often and spends a lot of money, made the same comment today. I usually avoid coming here for this reason, but I was in a rush. This store really needs better staffing and customer service.
I will add the gentleman that I dealt with today is not the one I have dealt with on a regular basis and he was very pleasant but overall do better

worst customer service ever. guy who checked me out today had a problem I had no smaller bills other than a $100, huffed and puffed as we were walking out as well, big guy with long hair. this isn’t the first scenario where he has a issue with a customer.

If I could give Lids 0 stars for the DAY I would. I went to Woodbury and received terrible customer service then came to Middletown and it just got worse. First of all, this location needs two workers because for the entire store to be closed during one persons lunch break is absolutely insane. The store rarely ever has what I need in stock. I don’t know if it was a nationwide attitude throughout all the Lids stores today but everyone was nasty with poor attitudes. This man huffed and puffed and threw the security tags and hats on the table.. he was extremely disgruntled today (he’s not always like this) and he made my already bad day worse. Lids as a corporation needs to get it together.

Went to get a hat exchanged for my son. The employee was very rude. He kept getting mad with simple questions I asked. I felt very uncomfortable, especially cause I had my toddler. His machine stopped working and started cursing under his breath in Spanish, then he gave me money back. As I was walking out the store he started to throw the machine and bang stuff around. Honestly he shouldn’t be working there if he has short temper or if he hates it there.

Very unprofessional employee, no hello, no help, looked like he hates his job. Sad you open a business and lose customers because of unhappy miserable looking employees.

They do have some nice hats and jerseys! The staff is always so nice and friendly also. Only gave it 4 stars wish they sold more hats for women in some pretty colors so they have more to pick from!

The personnel Lids employs treat the posted hours as a suggestion; store remained closed a half hour after 11am opening time.

I arrived at the location at 11o’clock today April 5, 2021 the location didn’t open till 1145 yet there was stuff inside . When they did open the doors I was looking for a certain hat I ask for it And without checking they told me it wasn’t in stock it seems like they did it just a brush me off. Customer service is the key and a smile goes a long way. The staff need to brush up on Customer service. I called back to make a complaint about it and spoke with Evan Sanchez and he gave me the same energy. I asked to speak with a supervisor he told me that the location didn’t have a supervisor just a GM. The location needed a recap on how to deal with customers
