Is the MHA of Orange County compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990? It should be, yet I question ❓

The management here is just awful. All they care about is appearances and sticking together with their inner circle. If you dare to challenge that, they see you as a threat and will make up stories about you while treating you badly every chance they get. They prioritize bringing in clients and making money, even if it means putting their staff in unsafe situations. It's like a clique of mean girls, really.

If you don't want your mental health to get worse than don't go to MHA. All they care about is getting a signature from you so they can charge your insurance and get their paycheck. I've been working with them for almost two years and I'm on my third case worker and each time I have to start from scratch and they tell you they will help you with everything you need and you get a sense of hope but nothing gets done and your lucky if they contact you at all. Since I have been with MHA I have felt so hopeless that I have suicidal thoughts on almost an everyday basis. They play their commercials on the radio and you think that's exactly what I need but at the end it says joint MHA. When I first heard the radio commercial I was hopeful thinking that's everything I need help with and as soon as they said it was MHA I broke down hysterically crying. It's a scam if you want help I don't suggest trying to get it from them.

Pros:It is close to a Dairy Queen.Cons:Retention and job satisfaction are better at Dairy Queen. Also, from my experience, Dairy Queen did more good for the mental health of the community. Pay is probably equal for entry level and Dairy Queen middle and senior management surely make more than here. Also if you work overtime at Dairy Queen you will get paid time and a half, here you probably won't.There are so many other, better options than this place if you want to work in this field. Go somewhere else, it will be better. I wish I had never worked here.Positive Reviews seem to be from current employees. Reported to Google for conflict of interest. This is a very bad look for a mental health organization that wants other people to take them seriously.Advice to Management: Resign.

Staff are disrespectful and invalidating and judgful by hanging up on clients that are in crisis and have trauma after mental health providers were responsible for them almost being killed.

Don’t know what happened to this place, but get zero help from it, it’s pretty disgusting

MHA strives to provide the highest quality services which are person centered and recovery focused. The agency offers services in the home and in the community and meets individuals when and where they need us. The agency is fully committed to actively supporting their employees with generous time off, holiday schedule and Wellness Days. The Executive Director is an active, engaged and positive leader and is eager to uphold the values of joy in work for the employees. I am proud to be part of MHA and an organization that makes such a significant impact in the Orange County community and beyond.

I have had the pleasure of working with the MHA since 2013 and in that time, I have found the staff to be extremely professional, caring, compassionate and kind. They are continually striving to improve their services to provide the best care to their clients as well as the community. It has been a privilege working for this organization.

Is any organization really a 5 Star workplace? No, but MHA in Orange County, NY is very close. I have worked for bad agencies and bosses and know what they look like, this is not one of those organizations. The wellness of the employee is their primary concern, in fact, they give 4 free wellness days off a year just for an employee's mental well-being. I would recommend applying to work for them, you won't regret it. MHAorangeny.com

No one every answers the phone, my case manager is constantly changing due to lack of staff. With the services i'm receiving i feel like i'm not being helped to the fullest extent. I believe most of the managers only care about getting a paycheck and not actually helping those in need. 1 star is still too many stars than what they deserve.
