Better place to buy used clothing in Middletown, I know people talk about how staff are rude but if anything I just find them quick to the point. Anyway, this place has the most options and I found some pretty quality stuff, again compared to the Goodwill's, here is just better in price and quantity

I was in yesterday and usually the ladies plus size clothes are well stocked and sorted pretty good. But…there were all sizes mixed in and no short sleeve shirts. Whomever is sorting clothes out obviously didn’t want to be bothered. I won’t be back for a while since it was a complete waste of my time. 🙁

Salvation Army, if you are going to respond, I want this addressed, not the same responses from you below just copied and pasted.
This store has really gone downhill, and puts out items that should’ve been tossed or are broken. They also charge a lot for their items which are mediocre at best. I saw a shirt today for $8.99, that’s pretty pricey for a used shirt! It’s very rare to find good items here these days. The goodwill here in Middletown is exceptionally better, because guess what? They don’t turn away ANY donations, except for a select few items, which are listed in the entrance of their donation lobby. Last time I brought in donations here, they turned away certain items that were actually very nice. I take care of my things, and felt that my donations were not appreciated, not to mention they were rude in the process. I don’t donate here anymore for this reason. I’m telling you, the selection at Goodwill in Middletown is SO much better, because their employees aren’t knit-picking at your donations right then and there when you drop them off. Their prices are also slightly lower.
I also went tonight and was thrown out by 5:50pm. They are supposed to close at 6pm. They actually turned the lights out on me in the section I was in at 5:46pm!!!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL?!
Part of the trade off is allowing all donations in hopes of receiving valuable items to sell, despite also receiving junk that should be tossed. Bad business model making the overhead cost of disposal your excuse. If you were more flexible in receiving most all donations, your profit margins would probably increase. I’m sure it’s too late at this point, because I can tell that the items donated to Goodwill are much higher end, probably because you guys chased them away!

Went to Salvation Army with 4 contractor bags full of toys our children donated. All the toy, puzzles and games were whole with all the pieces and games were in original boxes. The person there was rude and ungrateful. Turned away multiple items for no reason. That is the last time we donate anything to the Salvation Army......

Huge store and organized but it’s expensive for a thrift store.. I’m sorry but $8-$10 for used clothing, eh. Worse part about it is that they have Shein items priced at $15.. Shirts on Shein aren’t even $15! However, they do have half off and $1 deals DEPENDING on the color of the tickets which makes it worth it.. So you still might spend a grand total of $60 walking out with only 4-5 items..
To add, I think it’s a little unprofessional for the store associates to turn ppl away 25 mins before closing! As soon as I walked in one of the associates very mellow tone but loudly approached me telling me that I have to leave because we close at 6pm..People inside the store were STILL shopping AND NOW staring at me because of the sudden interaction and I’m pretty sure they thought it was weird too.. I even responded “it’s 5:35pm….” and the associate was like “we open at 10am tomorrow..” Like really!!?

3 stars because really there donation standards are a little confusing and not very necessary. but other then that if you need clothing for a low price there is always usually something there and at the ready. sometimes you might even spot a very good item like a console or tech items. but that is very rare.

The Manager at this store, a guy that I do not know his name was rude and nasty. We got to the store at 5:30 pm and they were supposed to close at 6:00pm. At 5:45 pm, the male manager told us to go to the register and paid that the store is closed. We told him “no” it is 5:45, not 6:00, we still have time- he said (in a rude way like we were dogs) “no, go go and paid now” and he then turned off the lights- at 5:45. He was unprofessional. That is not the way to treat customers. He raised my blood pressure and of course I got upset and left the cart and did not purchase anything He should not be working with customers at all since he lacks education and experience. He should be removed from his manager’s responsibilities immediately.

Instead of throwing away my stuff I decided to drop it off. Instead of saying " thank you" I'm told next time it needs to be sorted. Don't worry, there will probably not be a next time. PS it was all clothes except 1 pair of sneakers on the bottom of the bag. Plenty of other donation boxes to dump it next time without the attitude.
