The YMCA of Middletown, a community-based nonprofit established in 1882, is dedicated to promoting Judeo-Christian principles through various programs that support healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. Serving Orange County and Southern Sullivan County, it offers wellness centers, group exercise classes, aquatics programs, seasonal youth programs, and five summer camps. While the YMCA is appreciated for its friendly front desk staff and supportive instructors, some reviews note areas for improvement. Users have expressed concerns about the need for updated fitness equipment and better maintenance of facilities, such as the sauna and pool. Some visitors also mentioned that class schedules on certain days have changed, impacting convenience. Despite these issues, many members find the atmosphere welcoming and engaging, especially in youth programs like gymnastics, where coaches are praised for their dedication. Overall, the YMCA of Middletown is viewed as a valuable community resource, with the potential to enhance its offerings and facilities to better serve its members.
Friendly staffs and gym community. Everyone there just minds their business and are usually friendly.

Nice YMCA. They have a well maintained spa in the locker room. Weights and cardio have two levels, upper is more chill while lower is good for flexing. They have a pool and a boxing room (make sure to bring gloves). Basketballs need better maintenance though; bring an air pump or your own ball. Overall, a nice YMCA in Middletown.
