I was very interested in signing up for a gym membership with swim lessons for my children. I read the info provided in the pamphlet, but still had additional questions that were not listed. When I approached the help desk, I was not acknowledged. The 3 woman who sat behind the counter completely ignored me. I said can someone please help me? I have a few questions. I was immediately cut off by the one woman who said “GO TAKE A PAPER AND READ! I said I did read it, but I have further questions. she kept pointing at the pamphlets and saying READ IT READ IT!! EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN IN THE PAMPHLET! I was shocked and embarrassed with how I was treated by staff. I can't speak about the programs themselves, only the unbelievably rude staff at the help desk. It’s outrageous that’s how they treat potential customers. I now make sure I tell everyone about my experience. In doing so I have also heard from others who shared similar experiences with the YMCA staff. I was not rude or demanding to receive such treatment. I work in the public myself and would NEVER speak to customers in that way. Extremely unprofessional!! I will never go back. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The staff and even directors at this facility are a joke. They had a director that was charged as a sex offender, kids getting hurt while in programs, staff releasing kids to people without checking ID. Pool lifeguards and director in charge of the pool are a joke. They are rude, nasty, and treat their paying patrons like garbage. Especially if your white. Yes reverse racism. You can have groups of kids running and jumping into the pool, yelling and cursing infront of everyone, hitting eachother with pool noodles, playing dodge ball and hitting other swimmers with basketballs in the pool and staff say nothing.Yet if your white They come up to you and blow their power tripping whistle right in your face to tell you that your child needs to put their hair in a pony tail or get out of the pool. Also if the pool closes at 2:30 they make everyone get out before 2:25.The building closes at 3:00 but they lock people out before 2:30 even as to them, their schedule posted is for their employees schedules, not actually hours where paying members can use it.

If you’re looking for a gym with a day care don’t go here. This day care is always closed. With only a weeks notice I was told they will be closing the daycare starting Monday August 28 and won’t open again until Tuesday September 5th for a yearly cleaning I did not know about. When I canceled my plan today they said they are still going to charge me on September 1st because that’s what I agreed to in the contract. Go to golds gym they watch your kid for 2 hours twice a day and have longer hours open ! Plus if you cancel your membership they only make you stay 30 days it’s not dependent on the calendar date.

Coach Miguel is absolutely great! I have my 3 yr old in his gymnastics class. I signed her up for both Middletown and Monroe. You can't ask for a better coach then coach Miguel.

Not going to lie, we had a rough start. Spoke with management and everything has been pleasant ever since. They value the parents and they back up their employees a win win. The teenagers could be nicer to the younger kids, sometimes mama bear wants to jump out. Made a lot friends with the parents and the facility is easily accessible to cars and bus.

Huge shout out to the staff! I bring my twin boys here while I workout. The boys playing a hiding/ greeting game with the front desk workers who are always so happy to see them! The daycare workers are so interactive and the boys absolutely love coming. I sometimes sneak up and watch as they play. We look forward to coming to the gym every time and the boys frequently ask to go and it motivates me to get my butt to the gym! So thank you ymca Middletown staff!!

I been going to the YMCA since I was 5 years old. I go to jail and get All charges dismissed and the staff upfront show my mug shot to someone I grew up with... telling him I was homeless etc. How??? How do you even speak about someone you don't even know while working at the Y? My mother and whole family had a membership were they homeless too? Talk about me to my face. Worse gym and when I find out who is responsible for this I'm suing. Never talk about Caleb talk about something else. The retired Rikers Island c.o probably behind this. Either way I'm seeking legal action

You close at 3pm on Saturday’s, not 2:30pm. Don’t lie in front of my face…This place needs some major changes. Most equipment is old and non functional, place is dirty and unkept. I support the YMCA as a local, but it’s getting out of hand.
