*****. much improved appearance, in dollar general, milford. and five star cashier last week.as about everyone in the local area says, this store looked like a dump with more merchandise blocking the aisles and messy than there is on the shelves for a long time.how in the world with normally only one person on a shift are they able to cashier, stock shelves and even keep the floors swept?how can good hard working conscientious people not burn out and leave?free tip. when you do have a good employee, treat them as valuable, and do whatever it takes to keep them long term.it is far cheaper to retain good employees than to lose them and go thru the never ending process of looking for, hiring and training people that detract from rather than add to the growth of your business.crybabies can complain about covid, nobody wants to work, and all that bs.there are still plenty of good hard working reliable people all around, and they will gravitate from the dead-end businesses to the ones that prosper.right in this area their are many restaurants and all kinds of businesses that value and treat their employees like very important pepole.if you notice when you go by they are busy and others are starving,if you go in you're very likely to get five star service and be satisfied, and most importantly return and even tell your friends.take the challenge and see for yourself why some businesses are really prospering while others are constantly looking for, hiring and losing their help.

It's the dollar general. You know what they sell for the most part. Decent prices comparatively. This store is new so it's nicer and cleaner than the one in Oneonta and has more inventory. Nice lady that manages the place. Couple decent folks that help her run it. Glad they're there

Went to the Milford NY store and used THEIR App to scan THEIR products and they refused to give me the prices they rang up. Ex. Bug spray 1.01 and it rang up 1.63. Ridiculous and the guy with long hair (so called manager) has NO place in retail. Do yourselves a favor and fire him.

I have a problem with one of the employees. He's always got his music in his ears and if asked a question he acts as though you interrupted HIS MUSIC TIME!! Not sure who's actually overseeing the place but come on, he's rude and needs to find something else if he doesn't like dealing with people!!
