We did a EDDM mailing for a customer that had to be dropped off at 5 different post offices. The clerk at this post office refused to accept the mailing unless we paid for it. My guy explained that it was already paid for and showed her the postal paper work from the Business Mail Entry Unit in Kingston. She still thought it wasn't paid for and when my employee asked her to call the Kingston Post Office and they could confirm it. She refused and said when the Post Master was back in a couple of hours they would call so we could sort it out. I never got a call and no one would answer the phone. After escallating the issue the Post Master there said they would accept the mail. If the clerk didn't understand how the mailing worked a simple phone call could have saved us a bunch or time and not delayed this mailing.

I concur generally with Shawna Keenan's review. The staff's level of responsiveness is, to put it nicely, variable

It wasn’t the procedure I asked for. It was the nasty attitude from the woman behind the counter who then proceeded to tell me I looked like I was on a controlled substance. I am in the process of contacting the postmaster for this location. Who speaks to people like that.

Some people like to hear themselves talk and "manspalin" the situation away. Tired of excuses, half efforts, I thought(s), etc. Filing complaints about every issue would be akin to a 2nd job.
I get it, stuff happens, just be upfront. In this case there was not a note, or notification.
We all work hard, and the 15-30 seconds that it'd take to Ring the bell or simply leave a note or tag in the box would have been appreciated, and helps when contacting the merchant. Otherwise who knows what the heck happened...

Use ups you will actually get your package. They don’t go out of the way to deliver anything but your bills. If you think differently. Mail your self 500 dollars. Don’t trust it. That’s my point.

Employees are helpful but when delivering my mail, they decided to put important mail into my vandalized mailbox while it was raining.

The Millbrook post office is a great place. The staff is always so helpful and friendly, they get to know/recognize which faces go with which PO boxes and I find that wonderful. The retail section is constantly stocked with whatever shipping supplies you may need, from boxes to padded envelopes and even greeting cards!!! They have a lovely selection of birthday card, thank you cards, congratulatory cards etc. I always enjoy my trips to the Millbrook post office.

Friendly and great! When you think of a post office you probably think of the DMV, not the case with this post office! The counter staff is always polite and helpful. Everyone at this establishment has gone above and beyond countless times for their customers. I thank them for their hard work and service.

I placed a change of address and when I received my confirmation, they had my old address wrong. Went to the P.O. and told them my address was incorrect. The postal worker took my confirmation, wemt in the back and came out, handed me back my paper and very nasty told me "she fixed it." I have been at new address for more than a month and have not received ONE piece of mail that was forwarded. I did receive some mail that was addressed to my current address that had the yellow slip on it that "NOT NOT FORWARDABLE." I wonder if anyone working there as 1/4 a brain.

This is the best Post office in the area. I have issue with Dover Plains office. Millbrook are only courteous & genuinely nice people their thinking with you to come up with the best option.
